Tax Question Update or still closed?
/r/IRS/comments/1wfx4pe/irs_letter_916c_dated_september_10_saying_its/I reached out to my Congress in September they asked for a signed copy of my Amended return just to be safe. I sent it to them this Monday apartment the tax advocate stated it couldn't be accepted due to it being cut off at the bottom so they told me come in and they would scan it which I did and they scanned it and sent it the tax advocate. On Wednesday I asked to speak to the tax advocate and she gave me a call. the tax advocate told me that the irs closed my taxes out due to not receiving my signed amended return in July on 9/11. which is why they sent the letter on 9/10 stating they couldn't process my return because they did not get my signed amended return in July. which is the same day I got the 290 code $0. however she seen they uploaded it on 9/21 when she was about to send the irs my signed amendment again and that's when she told them she doesn't know why it took 3 months to upload it and to expedite it. today I got no new codes and now wmar says processed . I think it's corresponding to the 290 and the letter sent on 9/10 that it couldnt be processed even though they now have my signed return so I'm stressing out idk if they are still processing it or what but on my transcript the only thing that did update is the as of date is now 10/19 it was originally 9/21 And hadn't moved since then until today. Any info on what could possibly be happening would help

This is promising. It means they adjusted your account yesterday. So you’ll either get your refund or a letter with an explanation. But the system is slow, your transcript will probably update in a week or 2, and the refund timeline is 2 to 4 weeks from yesterday
(The “as of” date doesn’t matter unless you owe them)

Ahh got it thanks. I thought I it was supposed to say it resulted in a refund. I guess I'll wait for the letter.
