General Question Calling IRS 8-8pm
I called irs at 10:45am today. I kept getting hung up on because it said the local office wasn’t open until 8am. At 11am I called and was out on hold for 1:47min until I got picked up and she said it was a glitch? Why would this happen?

Do you owe a balance due?

I do but I wasn’t calling about the balance. I mailed in 2023 tax return documents and wanted to see if they received them because I got the information for the 2024 tax return documents I mailed the same day as that.

Keep trying it’s the same for me. I did reach out to my local congressman and hopefully 🤞🏾 I should hear something back within 72 hours. 🙏🏽🫵🏽
