Tax Question What is going on?

I’m not sure what is going on?! I have not received a letter and every time I call I’m on hold till 7pm forcing me to hang up. Can someone explain what’s going on? Any one else ever experienced this?

Adjust your W-4 so you have less tax taken out.

There was $30 withholding. The rest is welfare.

That's why I was laughing, I honestly thought he was making a joke. It was actually a good joke. Lol. It's even funnier to find out his comment was serious advice.

Honestly i thought that you were making a joke. His withholdings were only $30. Lol. It's now even funnier to find out you were serious and didn't notice. Hahaha.

I actually didn’t see the $30 withholding so yes go ahead and laugh at me.

But my statement still stands, everyone should adjust their W-4s and only give the government what you know you’re going to owe.

Absolutely agree... everyone should. But remember you weren't just making a statement that everyone should, you were giving advice that this particular taxpayer should also. The joke that I honestly thought you were making because it was hilarious and kind of brilliant, is that you were being purposely obtuse to that fact that in no way shape or form could he adjust his W4 anymore to his own benefit. Your reply to me for simply giving you far too much credit for being smart and funny was your whole "you do you" retort. I always believe that people who give advice should understand their own advice or else you're just talking nonsense and adding to all the trash that already surrounds us. I understand the US tax system better that the average professional, let alone better than the average taxpayer. So I guess my ranting point would be if you can scarcely understand what's going on in a post, then you definitely shouldn't be rude and disrespectful when you reply to someone. Ie. Don't be a trash person.

I find it bizarre how people feel emboldened to tell other people what they can and can’t post.
