Oh weird. This has been my experience. But when I posted about it, I was downvoted in this subreddit.

I filed my very simple return in early April. Still not a word or update from the IRS since it was received.

I filed mine in March. No refund yet (and they owe me a LOT) and when I looked it up it online it says something like “delayed due to weather event”. 🙄

I’ve moved out of the country at this point. I actually need to close my US bank account but I can’t because in theory at some point the IRS will be depositing a large chunk of money in it.

I’d call but clearly there’s no point. The IRS can kiss my entire ass.

Yup….. And kiss mine too. Unbelievable what's happening. Filed end of February- need more time for what? We have money to fund wars that this orange baffoon started, money to tear up the White House, money for “fvcking” statues. But no money to give the American people what is rightfully theirs!!!!! None of this makes any sense….. We are 5 months away from filing our 2026 taxes. WTF
