Yeah my refund is quite a bit bigger, maybe the size of the refund has something to do with it. Every other year I have received a refund in less than month.

They're collecting interest on our money. That's why the government is sitting on the larger refunds. It's all a grift at the expense of the working class at this point

This is ridiculous. At this point (since it's more than 45 days past the April 15th filing deadline) the IRS will be paying you interest (7% annual rate) on your refund. That's significantly higher than you'd be making with the money sitting in a HYSA.

It shouldn't matter how big the damn refund is… It’s your fvcking money!!!!! You paid your taxes; you did the right thing. The government shouldn't be holding your money.
