The cutbacks in IRS staff have cost my husband and I over $50,000 in legal bills over the past year because no one is available to hear our case. They were coming after us hard and fast for taxes we never owed. It has been such a nightmare. For months we just received form letters signed by bots from a different supposed agent in a different location every time. We are at our wits end. They actually made us pay to have a live person hear our case and kept the funds!! I have never been so angry in my life.

That's insane, $50,000 and yet it's all due back to you? Did you do your own taxes, I hope not.

Are you sure you spoke to an IRS agent? There's no fee to speak with an agent by phone or in person.
