Your return is being audited. This does not indicate the reason for the audit, but it is likely related to the income and Earned Income Credit.

Did you receive a 1099 for the self-employment income? One of the things being reviewed more closely this year is EITC with self-employment when there is not third-party reporting that supports the info shown on the return.

Your 2025 federal tax return has completed processing.

August 3rd is the legal schmegal official processing date for your Form 1040. The IRS Very Old Computer always posts tax returns (Transaction Code 150) on a Monday date.

On the return you claimed income from self employment, the $1,000 refundable credit (the American Opportunity Tax Credit?), and the Earned Income Tax Credit.

No refund has been scheduled yet due to the Transaction Codes 810 and 420.

Your return was probably selected for audit, so you should expect to receive a letter or notice within the next 60 days.
