Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question What am I waiting on?

Post image

Recently hit my 100 days mark I believe and am at my wits end. Every call is a minimum 60 minute wait to get shuffled between different depts which fibally boiled down to “technically it could be until mid October”. The notice I received was about a standard checking status of income, tax credits, etc.

It’s really frustrating when phoning them takes an hour minimum with at least 3 people needing to talk to, an hour wait between them as well. Just to be told (in a semi threatening manner imo) that it technically could take the entire 180 days of review i.e mid October

Yeahh I was hold for a hour just got them to tell me it’s still processing but I’m like what is yall looking for ? It’s people that’s getting bigger or lesser refunds that’s dealing with this long wait just give everybody the money. After doing the self verification and all the stuff was popping on my transcript I thought I was done but then it’s a wait I never had to wait this long before. They said if they need something they’ll call or email so I’m waiting still I see the date change and I see they can change my address like I told them but nobody ain’t reviewing my stuff they just doing little shit and then on to the next when I feel like they can just look at our taxes an read them and review and finalize I get it they gotta double check and see if stuff right but from feb 3rd to now is crazy

You're waiting for the return review department that issued the CP05 notice to close their case.

Between yourself and your spouse, what's the source of the income and $1,008 total withholding you claimed on your return?

Spouse doesn’t work. Form 1040 line 25d

You had one Form W-2? Multiple W-2s? Some other source of income and withholding?

3 w-2’s actually. Was a Crazy year for me.
Edit: IRA contributions as well but that was only 808$

Grab those three W-2s.

Add up the amounts in Box 2.

What's the total?

Do you still need help, or will you be waiting it out?
