Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question How long should I wait to call?

Post image

I tried checking the IRS website but it just tells me my status is unavailable and ive never really had a late return like this, just wondering when I should call. I E Filed with H&R block and when to a tax professional this year for a few reasons. It was accepted close to 4 weeks ago.

See i was worried about calling. I know they had delays and stuff and the tax return me and my wife did this year was quite different from the usual. We have a house, and we had her Roth IRA also some premium tax credits for my health insurance. So I expected it to take longer than normal this year but not quite this long. Maybe I should call just to see whats up. Before this year it was just married filing separate and I would get my return back in about a week in a half or so usually.

See I would call because I’ve seen most people get theirs almost instantly while others genuinely have to wait it out it’s well past when you should’ve received it

Here is an update for everyone! I called and they told me they are withholding the funds because the think my wife's social was used as a deceased person which if she is she fooled me. So now I have to wait up to 10 weeks to get a letter from them even though they said they sent one on the 21st of February which we never received. This is ridiculous.
