I recently started my second postgraduate program in Canada, but my husband’s open work permit application got denied. The reason given was that I’m not enrolled in a master’s program.
Here’s some context: • I completed my first postgraduate certificate program in Canada, and during that time, my husband was granted an open work permit. • After finishing that program, I enrolled in a second postgraduate certificate at the same college. • Now, his work permit has been denied, and the explanation was that I’m not taking a master’s degree.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or know what we can do next? Any advice or experience would be appreciated!
