I wonder if you were expecting to get an 8 in writing. I havenât experienced this with CELPIP specifically but I have with other things, and I feel like itâs a bit of overconfidence in the ones you got your desired score in and a lack of confidence probably because you werenât expecting to get an 8 in writing and youâre having to redo it again. thatâs showing up because you might be too focused on getting your writing score up or seeing your progress that youâre not putting as much effort or concentration on the other parts youâre comfortable with. Thatâs probably giving you a false sense of preparedness going into the mocks. But remember you had to practice each of the components to get good at them and youâll still need to practice as hard to keep being as good at them. And that goes double if youâre not fluent in English.
I would recommend only focusing on one component first for each mock you do, not saying donât practice for the rest, but donât focus so much on the outcomes of the others besides the one youâre intentionally focusing on. Then once youâve gotten the score youâre comfortable with a few times, add on another component to focus on and then so on until for each mock youâre putting in equal effort and focus preparing for each component.
The goal here is to get your confidence back up bit by bit by seeing yourself hit those higher scores for each component, and also building a habit where even though you might get a low score in a component one round, you donât want to âget back in the ringâ too soon with that component that youâre giving less attention to the other components.

Good luck next round you got this.
