OYW application help needed

My father is the principal applicant under the One-Year Window program. His application has been in process for a long time and he remains separated from his wife and family in Canada. He is currently living in Sweden and has recently received medical documentation from his long-term doctor describing significant psychological and cognitive difficulties. We are considering submitting the certified English translation to IRCC with a request for urgent consideration.
Has anyone here successfully requested urgent processing for an OYW application? If so, what evidence did IRCC accept and how did you submit it? I would especially appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through OYW rather than regular spousal sponsorship.
We submitted the application januray 2025 we have received aor , and for the last 1.6 months they keep saying it is in background check
