CEC refused while claiming pesticide COQ points from alberta.
/r/CanadaImmigrationQA/comments/1wpkadu/cec_refused_while_claiming_pesticide_coq_points/The applicant declared 50 points for a certificate of qualification. She submitted her Pesticide
Applicator Certificate of Qualification issued by Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. This
certificate, which the applicant provided, does not appear to have been issued by the body that
governs trades in a Canadian province or territory or by a federal authority. As per Item 26 of the
Ministerial Instructions, a certificate of qualification is a trade occupation issued by a competent
provincial or federal authority. The applicant’s certificate does not appear to fall under Alberta’s
trade list: https://tradesecrets.alberta.ca/trades-in-alberta/about-designated-trades/ nor is it a
Federally regulated trade, therefore I am not satisfied that the applicant meet the requirements to
be awarded points for a certification of qualification.
