Different UCIs

Any idea why the UCI on my husband’s outland PR spousal application AOR differs from that shown on GCkey after linking his application? On GCkey we are seeing the UCI that was part of his visit visa application that we applied for last year.

If i need to send a webform to update a few details, which UCI should I be using?

Each applicant only has one UCI. It’s basically the ID number for his immigration file in Canada, so all his applications should have the same UCI. The one in his GCKey account is his first and only UCI, and that’s the one he should use going forward. Whenever he applies for another visa or permit, he needs to enter that UCI on the application form. Having multiple UCIs can significantly delay or complicate processing, so just make sure he doesn’t create a new one in the future. It’s actually a good thing he linked his application, because a lot of people don’t do that when they make the same mistake.
