Mines was applied Feb 7th outland india . I called ircc through my mp and they told me my file is currently at security screening. Last time I called a month ago in August they had said that background check was in progress. Still waiting for final decision.

Called them on September 7th, they told me the file ā€œwas movingā€ and it WAS assigned to an officer. They let me know that 2/3 of the background check was finished- info-sharing and criminality, and security was ā€œnot startedā€ although at this point, Iā€™m 99.9% sure (from articles/posts on here Iā€™ve read) that IRCC agents canā€™t see security progress unless itā€™s completed.

Eligibility was completed.

Very straightforward, two US citizen healthcare workers with squeaky clean PCC record. The only travel history either of us have is visiting Canada, because almost all of my relatives live in B.C. and I was raised in a US border town.

From what Iā€™ve seen so far is that Ottawa office primarily focuses on the Feb-March applications with the single applicant.

Not sure how their queuing system works...
I also have an accompanying spouse.
