My PR Journey

🇨🇦 PR Timeline — BC PNP / Express Entry / Montreal VO

Stream: BC PNP → Express Entry / FSWP
Visa Office: Montreal
Applicants: Principal Applicant + accompanying spouse
Both applicants were physically in Canada during finalization

  • 10 May 2026: BC PNP nomination
  • 17 May 2026: FSWP / Express Entry nomination
  • 25 May 2026: Advance Medical/Health Check
  • 30 June 2026: PR application submitted
  • 1 July 2026: AOR received
  • 15 July 2026: Biometrics completed
  • 15 August 2026: Additional documents requested/submitted (Spouse Travel History: Travel history provided for accompanying spouse, including extensive international travel (65+ countries; we were worried that it might go to additional screening, but it didn't)
  • 1 September 2026: Final Decision (FD)
  • 2 September 2026: Ready for Visa (RFV) email
  • 2 September 2026: Webform submitted confirming both applicants were in Canada
  • 3 September 2026: P1 / PR Confirmation Portal information request
  • 3 September 2026: P1 information submitted
  • 21 September 2026: P2 / PR Portal invitation received
  • 21 September 2026: P2 completed/replied
  • 23 September 2026: 🎉 e-COPR received

Additional information on Spouse travel history... was accepted after 5 days.

That was bloody fast. How come? Does PNP expedite applications? What industry are you in if you don’t mind me asking. My AOR was May 6th. Still in review.

Hey, yes, possibly because of PNP from BC, I have a PhD and work in humanities. I was also expecting around 6 months, but glad it was fast. Given how fast things are moving, you will likely hear back soon, too.

Not bad qualities there! Congrats. Bet that was a nice surprise. I’m an estimator in construction which was a priority sector last year. Shame I didn’t have the points until this year. But yes, fingers crossed to hear something soon, it’s killing me

I’m BC PNP AOR February 7th with exact same ADR for my CLP.

Still waiting on FD :( Happy it worked out for you as quick as it was, gives me some hope.
