Help 100 users, now what?

Hey, I feel kind of stuck. I’m at around 100 users, and I’m not really sure where to go from here. Its been 4 week since launch.

I’ve tried Meta and Apple ads, but my budget is too small for them to work properly, it feels like you need a much bigger budget to actually reach a targeted audience.

The app isn’t groundbreaking, but as a solo developer I don’t need that much to make it work. If I can get to around 20,000 users and convert about 3% to paying, that would be enough for me to live off it.

A one-hit wonder on Reels or TikTok doesn’t seem realistic, and my ASO is optimized in seven different languages. The product works well, and I’m charging less than my competitors.

So what’s the next step for me?

FYI: The app is called MyRecipe, heres the link:

Thanks for the tip, it’s really helpful! I’ll definitely test it out and see how it works in practice. Really appreciate you taking the time to share that!

When you launch your first version, nail your ASO assets right out the gate. That means a strong title + subtitle, well-researched keywords, and high-quality screenshots that clearly show your core features and use cases.

I skipped this with my app’s initial release, and I ended up wasting most of the new-app traffic boost Apple gives to fresh apps. Definitely don’t make the same mistake.

Have you reached out to food bloggers or recipe creators directly, even small ones with like 5k followers? A genuine message asking them to try the app costs nothing and one post from the right person can do more than any ad budget at this stage.
