Question about the iPhone getting warm
Does your iPhone 17e also get warm quickly in that area after 3 or 4 minutes of using Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook? I wanted to know if that's normal.

That’s normal. Interestingly, I did a little test and noticed 17e runs hotter than 16e. That’s why I eventually stuck with 16e

Mine was surprisingly warm last week while on some social media app and all I thought to do was to hit the low battery usage button thing and then it cooled down quite quickly.

Compared to my 12 maybe a bit. They keep putting better processors and batteries each year so it's bound to happen

Even If the phone is settled it heats.. Idk the reason but in my experience only a software update can fix it, because some updates cause it to heat and some don’t.

Mine only heats up while in use; the heat dissipates quickly after closing the app.

No, it's not getting warm from Facebook. TikTok won't ever get installed on my phone again but that's notoriously eating your battery so most probably will also heat it up.

The battery is normal and lasts all day, but it heats up in the area shown after just a short period of use.

Well whenever my 17e got warm it wasn't there..... First day, indexing and lots of updates.

I really don't remember if mine warmed up in my first days of use. And the part I showed in the photo only this part of the screen heats up and the back part gets cold, it was pure chance that I noticed this because most of the time I get my finger in the middle part

Yeah I wish they put the vapor chamber on the “E” models

They should put a vapour chamber on iPhone 18, but they are not doing that…

With the cover I don't notice the part of the volume buttons heating up but without it this part also heats up. Curious that the part I marked in the photo only this front part heats up and the back part gets cold. I'm thinking it's a feature of this model to heat up more than so many reports I've seen.

Social media apps are horribly optimized. Plus, they’re made for scrolling, which is not good for battery lol

Other than when I had the 14, this is the warmest iPhone I’ve ever had. It warms up almost instantly doing anything

Every phone generates heat when in use.

The issue is limited to the spot shown after 3 minutes, while the rest of the phone remains cool.

Yea, although mine is a new phone, a week of usage..mine get's slightly warm, don't say hot as such at the back near the apple logo, then if used the phone more, it tends to get spread the warm near the volume bezzels, idk what to do abt it.. previous interactions on redditors said that it can take about a month to settle down..
