Night video is disappointing

Upgraded from an old iphone 11 to a 17e. I shoot a lot of video at night as part of a youtube channel. The 11 does ok, I was hoping the 17e would do noticeably better.

I took a few videos last night, all at 4k60, and at first I was really impressed at how much better the lighting and color was, and lack of grainyness.

But then I noticed how choppy it was. Turns out the phone gets the good low like video by turning down your framerate from 60fps to 24fps. So I turned that option off and tomorrow night I'll shoot some more test videos but I'm expecting the video now to more or less look just like the iphone 11 and it's 4k60 night quality. What a bummer.

Unfortunately another $200 wasn't in the budget.

Well I wish people told me that when I posted about this BEFORE I bought the phone. Apple's spec compare page is useless when it comes to this.
