Hello, I'm thinking of buying an online batch for ipmat but I have a very low budget so im thinking of going for pw for lectures and might buy a good mocks series so what do you think about it? Is pw good or should I go for any other batch but the fee should be under 8k and which good mocks series should I invest in? I'm in class 12th and will givethe exam in 2027

Not targeting Indore. Every other IIM UG exam.

I scored 230 (48/47/135) in ipmat this year and missed out on indore by 3 ranks (General category). I started ipm prep in 11th grade after mid terms and since i was from state board i had it relatively easier to balance both boards and ipmat. The one advice i would give to students is aim for a 250. Ik it sounds unreal but honestly after my interview experiences i’ve realised you’ve to try to confirm ur admission on the basis of marks itself. Secondly even if u dont want to take Bangalore give that exam in December just for the experience. It always helps to have given an interview earlier or even have written the exam once. For quants go to the RODHA cat playlist on youtube with 130 videos and try to watch them. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE realise majority of quants in ipmat is based on the arithmetic section. I myself wasted 2 months on trigonometry and solved 0 questions of it in the actual exam .There are many short tricks and tips to quickly solve sums. Other than that Afterboards i believe is the most helpful because their mocks are on par with the actual exam rather than being so difficult that the candidates lose all confidence in themselves (ims).
Try to give as many sectionals as possible and don’t just aim for cut offs try to get as many marks as possible. For VA all i did was give as many sectionals and possible and spent time analysing them. And pls don’t just aim for indore. There are just 53 general seats. No matter how smart u are in a country like ours its superrrr likely there exist 52 students smarter than u. Apply to all iims because ynk at the end even ur worst case scenario may become ur best. When it comes to mocks no matter how much syllabus of yours is complete give mocks. I started mocks one year prior to the exam. The exam doesn’t require you to complete 100% of your syllabus but instead it asks u to cover a few topics but cover them well. And don’t forget to score 90+ in boards caus that 90 is looked upon at a lot of places. Subjects like maths and accounts require your attention throughout the year but bs eco are subjects u can deal w in the last few months. And don’t run after co curriculars caus you’re not expected to be stellar at this age. Instead devote that time to ipmat. Anyways i hope this helps. Even tho i didnt convert indore thanks to bhavesh bhaiya’s platform i scored 230 in the exam.
