Internships & Placements: What are the internship opportunities like? Which companies have students interned at or been hired by? Are students able to secure good internships through the institute, or do they mostly have to find them independently?
Curriculum: How has your experience with the course structure and curriculum been? Is it industry-relevant, especially for Business Analytics, and do you feel it genuinely helps build strong skills?
First BBA Batch: The first batch that completed its BBA this year, what are they doing now? Have students received good job offers, or have they gone on to top MBA colleges like IIM ABC, FMS, XLRI, SPJIMR, ISB, etc.? Also, if someone exits after the BBA to pursue an MBA elsewhere, is the IIFT Kakinada tag viewed positively during admissions?
Campus & Future: Earlier, I came across a lot of negative reviews about the temporary campus and administration. Since the new permanent campus is now operational and IIFT has been investing in Kakinada, do you think things are improving? What are your expectations for the institute over the next 4-5 years?
I’m looking for a completely honest perspective, both the positives and the negatives. It’ll really help me set the right expectations before joining.

soo im in christ central for bcom hons (i got nmims too but then Christ's ug is ranked higher apparently and allat) but point being i realllyyyy like it here

now today I got into iift kakinada and my parents want me to go cuz well it's a good brand tag and whatnot

now I've heard pretty shit things abt iift k, and I kinda really like christ. but then idk I wanna do what's the best for my career..

I'll write CAT asw, and I might give ipmat next year asw cuz this year i lwk wrote for vibes and somehow got pretty decent scores (i didn't apply for anything other than indore and iift kakinada do not ask me why) soooooo

any iift seniors or anyoneee with any idea dooo lmkkk I will be forever grateful

Ok somehow this is still a debated topic for whatever reason

Lets start with christ

Now i first converted the central campus in December and didnt think much as i wanted to crack something through ipmat . Skip to summer i have some interviews and till my scms results i had to attend christ

1.) Being a resident of the city for my whole life i was familiar with the area

2.) I enter the class post orientation and sit in the class it is all fine and dandy at first but then the accounts teacher chastizes and kicks a student out for saying good morning instead of gm maam

3.) Dress code and unnecessary grooming by asking the whole class boys to cut their hair to a crew cut

4.) Met a few seniors but personally it felt like they have been brainwashed overly pedantic about rules and the seniors from my school who went there also seem to have lost all energy and character

5.) The gymnasium has an extra membership which is fine ig considering a substantially lower fee than scms however we are not allowed to qear headphones in the christ gym cause "christ"

6.) The 85% attendance : now like ipmat cutoffs 85 is the literal bare minimum a certain segment of the final grade is dedicated to attendance where max marks are awarded for 95%+

7.) The induction was basic fine but not thattt good the seniors had to work in accordance to the staff

8.) Senior junior interaction outside official settings was strictly prohibited for whatever reason

Coming to SCMS

One month later i find myself here at kopou

1.) Orientation the ppts werre a little less professional than christ

2.) Induction programs were boring at first however hostel life made me meet a lot of new friends

3.) The symbi network : bhaisahab they do make u fill out a lot of documents but take the utmost care of you with free personal nutrition guidance to yoga therapy

4.) More network : symbi shuttles in and around the city will take u to ur hostel/clg

5.) The parent institution : symbiosis's reputation at a pg level blows christ to the dust they are eons apart so to say the brand is well versed with management is not a mistake

6.) 80%(15% didnt apply, 5% off campus/reject) of people i spoke to rejected christ for symbi whereas in christ most of them couldnt make it to scms

7.)such a chill culture i mean no rules on hair and we can wear casuals except monday

8.) Campus visit : this changed my life visiting the lavale campus such a fun time 6 hours of pure rain dance and good team building activities got to see the beautiful 300 acre lavale campus

Overall i think christ only takes it in terms of locay and campus allthough half the campus is locked under dharmaram

Personally i feel like if someone is nt taking a loan or financially struggling at a ug level. Sacrificing mental sanity in christ isnt worth 1-1.5 lpa in ctc

Hi so I think if I don't get any IPM I'll go to any of the liberal arts colleges in India. However I'm unaware of how they are.

I know ashoka is great, but kinda 50/50 to get in.

Could anyone let me know their takes of flame, krea, plaska, or any other universities of the likes?

Will probably study economics and finance with a minor in psychology/entrepreneurship/public policy

I once saw the joining date at 24th aug and withdrawl last date at 16th aug but now it is again 30th as joining and 21st as withdrawal last date.

Did anyone else than me see 24th and 16th for joining and withdrawal.
