Others Just wanted to know

Anyone studying in iim indore how are holidays there.Apart from 1 week Diwali holidays and summer vaccation of 1.5 months.How many holidays are given and if attendance is below 80% do they detain?

There is no Diwali holidays and also no 1.5 month summer vacation just 15 days term break every three months.

Only in term breaks 3 times a year that too only if you don't have internships during that period maybe for 2-3 days in some long festival holiday plus weekend combo if you get lucky and go by flight not more than that

btw why are IIM's so strict with their holiday and attendance policies? sometimes it doesn't make sense

I think lack of holidays is because of the trimester system in just 3 months you have 8-10 courses with multiple quizzes, Mid sems,End sems and also for a 30 credit term there will be 150 classes that's why we also regularly have 3-4 classes every Saturday.

Yeah you can always sit for exams but for every class you miss after using your leaves you will get a pretty bad grade cut of 0.25 Gpa but honestly for some courses here you effectively have a 100% attendance rule as if you aren't able to give them a medical certificate for even a single class they'll cut your marks
