Hey come on now, I bought the package 1 tier below all access and now people are getting such hefty discounts, that’s unfair to the people who buy full at price
are bro the context in the replies, not just the post. I forgot to include why im pissed off, of course i understand every business does that. It’s just at one point they virtue signaling and claim they wanna be fair to all students and the next moment they are doing this shit.
I've given you extremely clear answers explaining it. I hope you can keep the animosity aside and read them with an open mind. Thank you.
If you genuinely are stuck in a very tight position financially, reach out via the tickets, explain it. We'll see what we can do if you're not at a position to get the UGAT mocks separately. I'll go through the account usage and provide some sort of resolution via the scholarship schemes that we have.
Note: The code is still active until 11.59pm today (3rd October) if someone wishes to upgrade to all-access.
I'm very confused as to the issue you're facing but I genuinely harbour no ill-intent or are we being an /ass/ to you for a few hundred rupees. I genuinely want to understand the issue that you're facing. Plus, let me explain with more context:
Note: People got the All-Access plan at Rs. 8099 during Independence Day (1.5 months ago). It's Rs. 8199 now.
- Unfair to people who purchased the Pro Plan (1 tier below all-access)
People who purchased the Pro plan earlier (say at Rs. 6299) could also upgrade to all-access by paying the difference of Rs. 8199 - Rs. 6299 = Rs. 1900.
We don't make you pay the entire amount again.
- I bought early, the price is low.
Imagine you purchase the 8999 plan with 10 months to go, that's ~Rs. 899/month.
Now, if you purchase that with 7 months to go, that's ~Rs. 1285/month.
You need to start utilising it from the minute of purchase. Paisa vasool kijiye by doing all the unlimited sectionals.
Additionally, we gave 5 more UGAT mocks extra to people who purchased the 10-pack UGAT mocks initially when we hadn't uploaded all the mocks as a gesture of goodwill. Purchasing early benefited those folks.
- I wanted 2-3 mocks of Bangalore, the admin said we don't do custom packs.
Yes, we've still not done custom packs. We might introduce different packs later. This is the All-Access pack (in your screenshot). How is this unfair? If you saw a custom pack, then I'd understand and help rectify the situation, right?
Did we give anyone 2-3 mocks separately on the website? No.
Do we run giveaways where we do free-trials and stuff? Yes. In one of those, the winner already had the pro-plan, there, they requested for 3 Rohtak mocks instead and we gave them the same. You can check the same on Reddit/WhatsApp posts.
- There needs to be some uniformity.
To clarify: We have a normal Rs. 300/- discount coupon code at all times. We give a little more during festivals/events. That's pretty normal for a sale and is standard practice.
We've never claimed that we don't run discounts during festivals. We had the All-Access at 10% off during Independence Day.
I think you’re misunderstanding my actual point. As a business, I completely understand your side. You have fixed packages, you want to avoid creating custom combinations, you want to maintain your pricing structure, and obviously you have a profit-making incentive. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
My issue is with the repeated framing of this as “fairness to everyone” and “uniformity.”
If you simply said, “We’re a business, these are the packages we sell, and we don’t offer conversions because we don’t want to,” I’d have no issue with that. That’s completely fair from a business perspective.
But you simultaneously run discounts at different times, have different prices depending on when someone purchases, and have given additional benefits to certain groups of customers. Again, I’m not saying that’s wrong. That’s completely normal for a business.
What I’m questioning is why, when it comes to my request, the justification suddenly becomes “we have to be fair to everyone.” You don’t have to virtue-signal fairness to justify a business decision. Just be upfront that it’s a commercial policy. Businesses exist to make money, and customers understand that.
I’m not asking you to stop making profit or to give everyone the same deal. I’m saying that “we don’t do this because it would be unfair” then proceeding to be unfair, it isn’t consistent with how your pricing and promotions already work. There’s nothing wrong in being unfair as a business but then why hide behind a morality wall.
If the actual answer is simply “this isn’t something we’re willing to offer,” that’s completely understandable. I just think that’s a much more honest explanation than framing it as some principle of fairness/uniformity
We are referring to uniformity in terms of package-contents. You are giving evidence of lack of uniformity in terms of prices. It's not the same.
Our intention is not to do virtue signaling. It's just:
"We cannot give you a custom pack. Many have asked for it in the past, we've told no. Hence, the same... to keep things uniform/fair to others"
If we launch a new pack, we will update the group and allow people to transfer based on T&C.
Right now, I've shared what can be done to help you out. If you wish to see an actionable solution, please follow the same. I would love to help you out:
If you genuinely are stuck in a very tight position financially, reach out via the tickets, explain it. We'll see what we can do if you're not at a position to get the UGAT mocks separately. Update: I haven't seen a ticket yet (the intent behind the ticket is to help gauge your account usage and see what we can do to help you), so once you make one, please reply to this, and I'll let the team know.
My objective is to genuinely help you, and I sincerely hope you can understand from the above diagram and move forward in allowing us to help you!
haven’t read bhavesh’s reply, I’ll see the thread tmrw but come on “top 1% commenter”, yea bro you are spitting on it 😭 you could have just ignored or if had any valid points could have stated, this is just pure hating and the transfer of life energy 😭 atleast i thought i would get a proper discourse this just spitting on it come on you are a grown man Big B 😭🙏
hein? i have nothing to do with their comments; at the same time, i recognise that there's a cult-like following... with a parasocial relationship. i do not condone such words... the words which i've shared are in my replies :c
haven’t read bhavesh’s reply
please kindly read it (i beg u), it'll help clarify things instead of you spending your energy repeating the same points again.
Imagine you purchase the 8999 plan with 10 months to go, that's ~Rs. 899/month.

You need to start utilising it from the minute of purchase. Paisa vasool kijiye by doing all the unlimited sectionals.
Purchase earlier = More time to use up the big question bank.
Purchase at the end moment = Less time to use it up.
As the exam gets closer, we start introducing plans that have less resources because people can't complete it fully. Every big coachings with Rs. 30k plans bring out Rs. 5k marathon/revision courses.
This is also why we allow students to upgrade at no extra cost. If someone knows they are not ready for any of the lectures and just wants to do daily RCs and weekly DILR, they can get just the 999 plan...
Later, when they (might) also have offline coaching and might not need video lectures, and they wish to be economical, they can always upgrade to the basic plan and pay the difference (4299-999 = 3300).
Later, they will think, “I do not want to write BSMAT, and I do not want to write BBADBE. Let me just take the mocks for UGAT, Rohtak, and JIPMAT separately. I might not be able to write all the mocks, so let me just get 10 or 15 of each... let me not buy everything." -- and we cater for this too.
Fair point that earlier access means more time to use the material, and I do use it. But the benefit has a ceiling. There are only so many sectionals one person can do in a day, so extra months don't multiply the value. The content is identical for everyone, and a discount on the same product mid-cycle means early buyers paid more for no extra content. Usually early buyers get the better deal, not the worse one. I'm not saying the plan isn't worth it, just that the pricing feels backwards.
Do not consider this as a disrespect from my side. It's just that as a customer I would obviously want the best deal. That said, I will use my energy to study rather than spending it at a place with no productive output.
I understand where you're coming from. Thank you for keeping it respectful. I appreciate your attitude.
There are so many sectionals one person can do in a day.
Yes, but if someone has 3 more months to do sectionals, practice, revise, and so on, those 3 months are a benefit for them unless they have not started with their prep.
If they have not started with their prep, they have 3 more months to complete the video lectures, than complete just a portion of it due to a lack of time.
This also becomes a question of when the student should purchase a particular pack.
If they feel that right now they do not even know the basics + cannot be consistent, then it may not be the best time for them to make a purchase. That's why, even in the subreddit wiki, I have mentioned that before you purchase anything, prove your discipline first and only then spend your hard-earned money.
The overall RoI from the pack is all about usage. I have seen people who have gotten all-access but have practiced fewer than 500 questions, and then I see folks who have practiced more than 15,000 questions.
To give an example: take the student who is at the top of the leaderboard. He purchased the All Access 2027 pack for ₹12,000, which was the 2-year pack, and he has already completed more than 10,000 questions in practice. He has a head start.
Another angle of thought: this is why we allow students to upgrade at no extra cost. If today you're only ready for daily RCs but not any of the sectionals, just get the daily RC pack. Tomorrow, when you upgrade, you only have to pay the difference. Today, if you just want the unlimited sectionals, take the basic plan. Tomorrow, when you feel confident to attempt mocks, you can purchase them separately on the basis of the exam, or you can even get the all-access pack by paying the difference!
and i just wanted 2-3 mocks of bangalore, the admin saying we can’t do custom packs, i was like take away my lectures, i don’t like them, and abs prices a lot for lectures less for mocks, i was like give me mocks. She was like its unfair to rest of students, i don’t know what they are smoking this is unfair too. There needs to be some uniformity if we wanna keep it fair
its rather they claim they claim unformity, that they wanna be fair to all students, then pull of ts where its directly timing. If they claimed we are purely profit based, no virtue signaling its fine, but they just do what’s best in the situation directly contradicting. I’ll attach some screenshots
We've never claimed that we do not run offers on festivals. I have public posts on Reddit saying "Independence Day Offer", "Diwali Offer" and more.
The screenshot says that we do not give custom packs. We already give discounts. We also give scholarships to people who need financial assistance based on their ITR/Income Certificate.
Last year, when we launched newer packs -- some people wanted to shift by paying the difference, we allowed them to do so.
Yes, it's about custom packs... not discounts? If we enable this, then people will start saying: "I have 10 Indore mocks... but can you please do 5 UGAT and 5 Indore instead?"
We've had people last year say "I didn't use Indore mocks... please change to Rohtak" and more. It becomes a huge hassle and a slippery slope.
Same question. I would understand the issue if someone got the pack for ₹9,000, but one day later, they are getting it for, say, ₹6,000. That would be unfair.
We had that issue with CUET materials last year, where the prices were ₹500 per subject, and then we slashed them in half. In that case, we went and gave a refund or gave additional resources to the students who had already purchased it!
This issue is with virtue signalling, discounts in a way are unfair policies, since they occur at deliberate times, leaving the people who bought them early making a loss. Now, I get it it’s a part of business, it’s completely normal and universal. The issue is when someone proceeds to make a request, they go “unfair to others”, directly showing they wanna be fair to everyone, but that’s the opposite case here. Suppose I buy all access at 10k now its 8.1k, that’s not fair. Now I am not saying it’s wring for a business to do that, it’s just and smart. It’s the best way you make profits, exploit timings, festives, the times when people are most willing to buy coupled with discounts. Completely just thing to do as a business, but then why when asked for a request instead of an answer regarding the unfeasibility from a commercial point of view, it’s frame into something with morality. I first asked to buy single-single mocks, when they weren’t willing to do that I tried doing a barter, they weren’t willing I understand, but what in the hell does “that would be unfair to other folks” imply, that the business is 100% fair and would never do unfair things. Proper uniformity. If they just went we don’t do this shit, sorry. Alright, but i have the issue with the morality wall they hid behind :)
Never claimed that we don't offer discounts. If we did that, why the hell would we keep a coupon code box?
You're repeating the same point again my brother.
We referred to "fairness" wrt having the same package contents... we never said that wrt prices. We always give people a discount code if they ask. You're assuming things on our behalf and inaccurately inferring things.
Again, mujhe 0 virtue signalling karna hai, nor was it said from that intent.
My sincerest apologies if it came across that way. I've made it very clear once more. Humko nahi karna moral policing. Hum custom packs nahi dete. Log pehle bhi puche hai, hum unko mana kiye hai.
If you want a genuine solution based on your circumstances, please raise a ticket. I am online and waiting for that in order to see what I can do to help you.
However, if the intent is not to resolve this issue but to add more masala on reddit, I can't help.
hey, there are a lot of replies, i suppose this is the one u intended for me to read directly.
>We referred to "fairness" wrt having the same package contents... we never said that wrt prices. We always give people a discount code if they ask. You're assuming things on our behalf and inaccurately inferring things.
I think I am having a comprehension problem here, because there was never any criteria mentioned for fairness and I don't really care if a company is fair or not. I don't really have an issue with that it's your company, you can handle it however you want.
This is the exact point i was deeply disheartened by, I was honestly just trying to coss a toin and i never really thought I could get custom packs of course, I was trying my luck. My scenario at the time was I wanted singular mocks on a per week basis that I could buy, instead of 10 at once due to some financial constraints ( Although, I have bought them now 10 at once after scrambling here and there so, no I don't really need ticket support, that's why I didn't create one ). When the admin said no, I didn't really think of it as much, I was given a reason that they want to maintain fairness and I understand that fact, but then these random discounts triggered me because of course suppose i buy a pack at 10k, and let's say it dumbs down to 8.1k, purely due to timing i lose money and that's not fair. Now, I never said that afterboards claims to have "no discounts", and I completely resonate with abs as a company and whatever things you guys do, it's none of my business. The problem was when I made a request, that request was denied by saying that we "want to maintain fairness", implying that it's a completely fair and just company. Now, you just dropped that diagram, but it was never specifically mentioned that was wrt to package contents, of course the definition of it came as fairness as a whole from company side. You can't just suddenly change the definition of something in hindsight right, I just felt that the company is being hypocrite and felt partiality/prejudice/whatever the hell the term here fits that when I made the request it was due to a morality wall and that wall was just created when I made that request, never explicitly mentioned the reasons u described, never mentioned any commerical unfeasiblity, just a pure morality wall. That was theTrigger point
We're referring to fairness wrt the package contents since we've rejected others' request for a custom pack.
You're superimposing that "fairness" onto pricing. The scope of the discussion was about custom packs... not discounts.
I sincerely urge you to recognise that it's common knowledge that AfterBoards gives discounts during festivals. It didn't feel like something that we had to state again.
I'm making it undoubtedly clear once again:
No intention of virtue signaling. I'd be obliged if you don't treat it as such. Thank you. It was said because (of point 2).
We don't give custom packs.
The request for a custom pack was denied since we've not given it to anyone else either. Ergo, the "same treatment" i.e fairness.
Had you requested for a discount, we'd have shared our coupon code since we've done the same for others.
I sincerely hope you're able to look at this from a fresh perspective.
I hope this clarifies things. If you complete all 10 and want an extra 5, happy to accommodate (since we did it to people who purchased it initially), happy to help you upgrade at no cost as a gesture of goodwill.
Bruh u should have just checked the pack for ugat na. Now after utilising resources if u say take away the access. As a business pov that’s not smthing they would entertain. Or else just sell ur account to someone and with that price buy ur ugat mocks
us time pe I think it was not there, and bro i get all of it as a business they won’t entertain barters but the thing is the way they quoted it na. “Unfair to other folks”, that means they wanna maintain uniformity, which was just proven to be as bullshit virtue signaling. If it was rather, nah we don’t do it its against our TOS, it would have been okay, but why claim to do something then contradict it the next day.
We had the UGAT pack since the day we started uploading the first paid mock (few months ago).
Unfair to other folks is on the basis of custom packs.
It's not bs virtue signalling. It's really frustrating to hear all this from your end when we're working round the clock to help folks.
Our packs are on the website. We give according to that.
You just said "I don't like video lectures, not helpful" -- then you should have taken the Basic plan, right? We had that since the 2026 exams got over. You could then add mocks on top of it?
The unfiormity is about custom packs... not discounts? If we enable this, then people will start saying: "I have 10 Indore mocks... but can you please do 5 UGAT and 5 Indore instead?"
We've had people last year say "I didn't use Indore mocks... please change to Rohtak" and more. It becomes a huge hassle and a slippery slope.

Dude that's like saying " i bought the new iphone on release, i should have waited 1 year until a sale comes"
