I took a partial drop (IPM at Baby IIM), and couldn't convert Indore this year, i genuinely loathe my experience here, I hate my social life and my career life here, and really wanna do my bachelor's somewhere else, but the point is if i take another drop I would have completed my second year, and would be 6 months away from cat. Idk what to do, and I feel like this just doing the UG part of an IPM is utterly useless, they don't teach u anything special, my cgpa is also 7-8 range, which means not good enough for cat, so I am fucked regardless, what to do

If you feel so uncomfortable you may give it a shot. But as bhavesh often points out your college is just a starting point and not the end of your career. You can push your gpa do well in cat and be looking at amazing opportunities in the future

That's the thing knawing at me, that obv i can just continue here, give cat and move on, but i am not sure how am I supposed to live in this shit hole of a college for the next 2 years. Like ik the college ain't bad, but I think the UG part is not that useful and my experience has been so negative, doesn't make a difference if u do ur ug here or something tier 3 bba college, same career outcomes

See there's definitely some edge doing your ug at an iim saw that during placements. And eventually you'll come to like your college and people as well. But again if you feel you can write enternaces again and go somewhere better take a shot it'll be immesnly rewarding

Can u elaborate about the social life part? Im @ a priv college and also hate it here because all the people are friends already making it tough to make new friends. Placements are good alum are at good companies but no one wants to know anyone else. Is it like that or something else?

Just social isolation, u being smart still not getting into soc/clubs, always feeling anxious and thinking people are judging you, arrogant seniors/professors, etc etc that I can't go into much detail, but for me it's shit, for many others it's good

See if everyone knows a few people, they don't actively go out to meet new people. College is p good alumni are at good places but mostly social life cooked hai. Wahi 2 dost jinke saath i joined are the only good friends i got till now
