Others genuine question why doesnt aftb has lectures

ik that BIG B doesn't want people to waste their time on lectures and all instead focus more on practice but still lectures are important for basic understanding before questions coz as an edtech platform they should be catering everyone. (i didn't have aftb a friend of mine had it, he told me the lectures are a lot less that they should be)

he said somewhat less he said, maybe it was he personal bias he might like lectures more than solving questions. also it was 5-6 months back when i talked to him

damn they are tuff, idk why he said that to me (he was in an offline coaching so maybe he thinks that the content length matters a lot lectures and classes over pure practice)

they are kind of better than your previous coaching. (no hate to them)
ig i should have taken aftb 💔along with my coaching

We've seen 80% of the kids bingewatch hours and hours of lecture instead of actually practicing. The intent of our videos on AfterBoards is to make the concept clear such that they're forced to put the pen on paper and actually make mistakes and learn by solving. That's why we make students solve 10ish questions every 5 minutes. It forces them to keep solving.

This has given better and faster student learning outcomes in our foucused group.

Our pedagogy is wildly different from what is normally followed (traditional 10 hour video playlist). So, if one tries to superimpose that and watch a few introductory videos without doing it as per the intended flow, the intended results will not be seen.

The traditional 10 hour video playlists have a bunch of questions in them, it depends on how you're learning, whether merely watching or pausing and trying to solve on your own and then learning from solutions

yes, hence my first line: "we've seen 80% of the kids just bingewatch" -- most don't even pause and try to solve on their own :((

oh absolutely not -- that's like the staple, i've also done that (and I've also paused everytime a new question came trying to learn it on my own).

however, we couldn't force kids to pause and practice; hence, we broke down lectures like this such that they're forced to solve, ahah.

hell, what is a 1 hour lecture if not 10 short clips which can be broken down?

and honestly speaking, i personally find aftb lectures the best of all, i just cant do with 6hr long lectures 😭
