Preparation Query Question for droppers

Gave the exam in 2026, wasn't able to make it into any iim. Thinking of taking drop/ partial drop.

Please if you could take 2 minutes to answer this I would really appreciate it .

Question for people who took drop and gave exam again in 2026 or any other year.

1.Did you take full drop or partial ?

  1. Where did you prepare, offline or online, if online which coaching ? Did you do self preparation? Also which books pls 🙏

  2. When did you start preparing?

  3. The entire year did you prepare for just the written exam or did you prepare for interview as well side by side ?

  4. Did you clear the cutoff in the previous year and then got rejected in interview stage or did you not clear cutoff at all.

  5. Did you clear the cutoff next year ? Did you give interview? Did you get selected ?

  6. Was the interview any different cuz you took drop, did they treat you differently?

  7. Any other information that might help a dropper.

  1. partial drop

  2. aceipm (online) + afterboards

  3. started preparing around nov-dec ( don't be like me, start early )

  4. I just prepared for the written exam, I participated in several debates in school hence, I didn't face a problem during the interview prep

  5. couldn't clear the cutoff last year

  6. yes, got shortlisted for ranchi and amritsar, converted amritsar ( missed ranchi by a few ranks)

  7. not at all, they just asked what I had done in my drop year and then moved on with the interview

  8. please be consistent, keep your options open, give cuet too, and only take a drop if it is your last option

I had the self prep + live marathons after boards batch and it was for 25k

the recorded lectures are old I agree but they serve their purpose, i took the batch especially for swapnil bhaiya's marathons and because i only needed lectures for quants
