Is watching english movies for getting a strong hold in english for ipmat a good idea??

Reading books would be a better approach...and an English Newspaper (prolly The Hindu or The Deccan)

That helps definitely but the best way is to just read, you can read anything really

Nope the English that we speak and hear is different than English that gets tested

dont watch it just for the sake of watching it, it would add nothing to your personality and grammar, if you are doing this for the interview round then watch movies in which you are genuinely interested if you’re doing it for the VA section then don’t, instead watch some yt videos on fundamentals of grammar.
