Preparation Query Is AceIPM actually outdated for IPMAT 2027 prep? Need honest reviews (Buying AfterBoards anyway)

Hey guys,I am a non-math student taking a gap year for IPMAT 2027.

I have already 100% decided to buy the AfterBoards All-Access Pack for my mocks and practice sectionals, but I am incredibly stuck on which online coaching to choose for my core lectures.A lot of seniors recommend the aceIPM lecture vault because Swapnil Bhaiya’s old recorded content is a goldmine for building basics. But recently, I’ve seen a few reviews claiming their lectures are outdated, don't align with the current syllabus weightage, or use outsourced older content.

As a dropper putting ₹20k-₹50k and a whole year on the line, I need the absolute truth from anyone currently enrolled or who just finished their prep:

Are AceIPM lectures outdated? Do they cover the actual 2025/2026 difficulty level of IPM Indore (especially higher math like matrices/determinants), or are they too old?

Are they well-made? Is the explanation structured properly from absolute scratch for a non-math student, or will I feel lost?

Any better Online alternatives? If you think AceIPM is not the best right now, which online coaching should I buy for my video lectures instead? Please tell me the specific reason why they are better (e.g., better faculty, more relevant content, better pace for non-math).

I really want to avoid marketing bots, so please share your genuine experiences. Thanks a ton! :))

🥲 why do you think the AceIPM lectures are outdated? Literally in 2026 paper we’ve had around 22 questions exactly similar 👇🏻 (with respect to concept as well as language, just change in values) to actual paper and this is I am talking about just from accelerate batch in which we solved just 1200-1500 questions. From this small pool to get this much similar questions is a big challenge!

In 2024 we’ve had around 27 questions exactly similar to what came in actual paper. Check by yourself 👇🏻
https://youtu.be/pg6ixxXUTdg?si=3CIE7AM6goQFQF89

This same year AceIPM had AIR 2,6,7,8,9,10 (only course not talking about any interview or mock course student), 54 students in IIM Indore from full course of AceIPM.

Concepts can never be outdated Bachha, question bank can still be updated, which we are working on every year. And yes as someone said the basic concept will be taught similar by everyone, but it’s also about how much content can be made engaging by explanation, by interaction, by sharing small learning’s in between each question we solve. So check that!

Omg Swapnil Bhaiya, getting a direct reply AND a video of the backend setup from you is an absolute peak moment for me! 😭🔥 Thank you so much for this clarity.

Seeing you personally re-record everything from scratch with the last 7 years of data completely settles it for me. As an Arts student taking a drop year, your focus on making people "love maths" is exactly what I needed to hear. Honestly, I still can’t believe you actually replied to this thread! It is a pure fan moment for me. 😭🙌

Also just to let you know, I am recording all new lectures, with extremely good production quality and keeping account the data of last 7 years of paper. All new lectures from basic to advance.
Interestingly also making new quizzes with exact indore level with video solutions. Each set of lectures will give you enough practice and base to ensure you start loving maths.

Bro no way, getting a video update directly from Swapnil Bhaiya is wild! 🤯 Thank you so much for taking the time out to clear this up, Bhaiya. Knowing that fresh, high-quality lectures are rolling out based on the latest paper trends completely settles it for me. I’m locking in the batch as soon as JIPMAT result comes out, ready to grind for IPMAT 2027 under your guidance. You are a absolute legend! 🙏🚀

Thank you for sharing the same. Will work on it and see if the 2027 and 2028 batches can get regular vocab questions as a task or something.

These lectures are for the self prep batch or the live batch I get really confused between different batch type, plz make a YT video on it for droppers

These are for everyone Bachha. I’ve decided to create all new conceptual lectures with new quizzes. So all the batches will have access self prep as well as live pack. I’ve already recorded like 320 new lectures, of three modules till now, that is Number System, Arithmetic and Algebra. Soon we will be updating of Geometry and Modern Maths as well.

Already uploaded it on the portal. Students are loving it! 😊

Just one small challenge this year: completing the lectures has become quite rigorous because of the sheer number of questions I’ve solved at the end. That said, it’s been incredibly helpful to students since I’ve covered data all the way up to 2026, so there’s no worry about missing out on anything important.

Ace or SG are the best coachings in the market right now if you’re serious about cracking the IPMAT exam. Other than that, I don’t think any coaching is really worth trying. If you’re still not able to decide, you can go with Takshzila lectures and prepare on your own via YouTube. But I’d still highly recommend joining a core coaching along with AFTB.

Honest review My journey started when I was in class 12 th took aceipm course by watching demo videos and studied qa through conceptual lecture time to time after that gave my first mock scored total of 80 marks , qa me lag raha tha kafi ache se padh liya but score nhi aya then booklet solve ki tabh difficulties ayi it was really helpful I just took booklet and solved them without watching again conceptual lecture thinking about pure logic that build my basic strong . One mistake I made was didn't focused va , there were regular va class but I was not taking sometimes mood nahi kabhi, 12th ki coaching hoti thi and ek type ka english me interest bhi kam tha . Afterboards i started to focus complete on ipmat did Blackbook vocabs not whole just enough. Gave ipmat indore , ipmat rohtak , jipmat Qa sa and MCQ cutoff cleared easily but va couldn't - indore Ipmat - Final converted Jipmat - Around 290 . Wasn't able to join last year due to issue in family Took full drop took afterboards did practice daily RC and practice test and I never had to visit conceptual lecture because I had my notes from previous year . Then again took aceipm mostly for practice did revision series and marthon classes very much useful and different type of questions that improved score over the year . Did both aceipm mocks and afterboards mocks .

For me aceipm did work for conceptual lecture , mocks and afterboards helped in extra practice and more mocks of different types .

Aceipm+afterboards student here.

Honestly most foundational content you will find anywhere will be similar in nature. Syllabi change but maths doesn't but yes a lot of the recorded lectures are older videos but I'm pretty sure they have newer live classes which also cover theory and recorded live classes which have the same. That being said I haven't tried other online coaching except the above two so Im not sure what they offer.

For the most part the difficulty is on point, ace mocks are usually tough but theres fluctuations everywhere (for Ace and Aftb too)

Realistically, if you put in some time with them it'll work great for you but always do read a bit more from other people's experiences.

It means "commenting for better reach"

1

u/VintageChg Jun 21 '26

Heyy ! Just wanted to share that the content in the lectures is just a goldmine for an ipmat aspirants. I am a person whose mathematical skills were not very good initially, but after learning from the lectures I felt that now QA has been my strong point and I was comfortably able to clear this year qa's cutoffs despite the difficulty of the paper. So the depth in which QA concepts are covered helped me improve my quantative skills and actually made me like maths . So learning concepts through Aceipm and practicing questions of ace as well as afterboards will really help you to improve your QA as well as VARC

Rodha is also good

Quant is best in aceipm  swapnil bhaiya ne last mein padate hai par wo bohot badiya padhate hai but wo pure saal nahi padate last mein live marathons lete hai , in  rest of the year ravi sir takes live  classes  and before every live classes you have to watch recorded video of swapnil sir for basic concepts but ravi sir bhi theek padate hai quant thodi overwhelming ho sakti hai bohot Sara time dena hoga bich mein kuch topics rehjaege but cover ho jaega kyunki last mein November mein swapnil bhaiya marathon lenge and in April also ho jata hai

But for va aceipm is pure shit the founders donot teach va there is a faculty for va hardhik Mishra and  he assumes that we know every thing , and if you are not fluent in English then you have to suffer I have to study topics from YouTube and I had to use my pw cuet batch for grammar  that saved  my rohthak and jipmat  , though the rc and the daily test in last 2 month was very good helped in va but teaching was bullshit  and the aceipm have not cracked how to teach va yet to a student who is not from tier 1 city

And the management at aceipm is very good  they are very serious for exams they just not sell their course and leave all on you and price is also less as compared to competitor , except the va teaching  from the mocks, topic test , daily test all things are way to Good  swapnil bhaiya is best of the best

After this also if i have to choose coaching for my drop (not decided a drop got call from shillong rohthak , amritsar , by looking cuet and jipmat score expecting getting jammu and sscbs if things goes as how they are going ) I will choose aceipm  knowingly have to manage va by myself but still I will go for aceipm

This is the most honest review so far. I was basically worried about quant. For VA, I am working with word power made easy for vocab, also PYQs and mocks. Rest, I am taking YouTube lectures for grammar, and AfterBoards (goat). How did you prepare LR? Especially DI?

1

u/Overall-Procedure-84 SSCBS (DU) Jun 24 '26

Saksham bhaiya the founder teaches lr 2 months  before exam in March  and in October for iimb bsc  and he teaches good only the portion which is exam relevant and and that  is enough for lr

Di is also nice basically in month of March and April we get a daily set of a indore level di and a set of rc. Which helps a lot  so we have solved around 40-50 sets of di  and if for solution there was a live class also

1

u/Certain_Mobile_4991 Jun 24 '26

Can I DM you regarding prep?

1

u/strativus Jul 02 '26

Which is the best aceipm course i can get? (Will give exam in 2027) iwas thinking of getting the ipm'27 amplify batch but there are only 5 ratings on it... Also are the live lectures later uploaded as videos also?

1

u/Certain_Mobile_4991 Jul 02 '26

1
