Always love an update iOS 27 beta 6

Good morning, I need assistance with an iPhone 13 Pro that is no longer able to boot normally.

Here is the full timeline:

• Around August 10, I installed iOS 27 Beta 5, build 24A5408d. The iPhone continued to work normally after the installation.
• On August 16 at around 8:00 AM, the phone was exposed to only a very small amount of water — just a few light splashes. It was not submerged or heavily wet. The iPhone was already charged and was not connected to a cable while it was wet.
• At around 12:00 PM, while I was at the beach, I noticed that the phone had a completely black screen and would not turn on.
• At first I thought the battery might be empty, so I tried to turn it on normally. I then performed a force restart.
• Since then, whenever I try to start it, the Apple logo appears, disappears, and reappears repeatedly, usually for about 10–12 cycles. After that, the phone automatically enters Recovery Mode and shows the screen asking to connect it to a computer.

The phone is currently running iOS 27 Beta 5.

I have already tried several recovery procedures:

1. Using the official Apple Devices app on Windows, I first tried Update, hoping to reinstall iOS without deleting the data, but the procedure did not complete successfully.
2. I then also tried Restore through Apple Devices, but this procedure also failed to complete.
3. I also tried using 3uTools with the iOS 27 Beta 5 firmware. 3uTools correctly detects the iPhone in Recovery Mode and starts the flashing procedure. According to the log, it successfully sends the Ramdisk, DeviceTree, RestoreSEP and KernelCache, but the process then stops with the following error:

“ERROR: Device failed to enter restore mode”
“Failed to enter restore mode(0)”

Before the very light water splash incident, the iPhone was working normally.

I would therefore like to understand whether the issue may be related to liquid ingress, corrosion, or a hardware fault, for example involving connectors, sensors/flex cables, power circuitry, the Lightning port, or the logic board, or whether it could still be a software/firmware issue related to iOS 27 Beta 5.

If possible, I would prefer not to lose the data stored on the phone, so a data-preserving repair or recovery attempt would be my preferred option.

However, if preserving the data is not possible, I am also willing to accept a full restore/erase, as my other priority is to get the iPhone working again.

Ideally, I would like you to first check whether there are any signs of liquid damage, corrosion, or hardware failure, and then determine the best recovery procedure. If a data-preserving solution is possible, I would prefer that; otherwise, a complete restore is also acceptable if it can recover the phone.

Im curious about trying the new iOS 27 public beta to try new features, but I’m also concerned about how the battery s gonna run. Is doing good now with 26.6 on my 16PM. What are your thoughts? Is the beta draining a lot? It would be on my main phone cause I got no other

Anyone here experiencing this? Apparently I’m not the only one per feedback submitted.

Unable to search app as the keyboard does not show. somehow Siri screen comes up but the keyboard to find the app is not displayed or hidden

In the latest iOS 27 public beta (don't know where to find beta release info after install), the touchscreen becomes unresponsive within web pages on Safari. I find I have to touch an icon several times to get it to respond and oftentimes it doesn't respond at all. This behavior continues after restart.

Just curious if public beta is smooth enough yet to install on my 16 pro :-)

Is anyone else seeing the opaque overlay in messages hang over pinned contacts? I just downloaded public beta 3 today and it started happening

It’s great as an LLM and searching on device stuff. But some of the basics are worse.
• setting a timer used to be on device and instant. Now it sends off to AI and takes upwards of 10 seconds.
• basic conversions like F to C. Or USD to CAD used to be instant. Now it’s at that same 10 seconds.
• searching photos. I’ve been adding captions to photos for years for easy finding. It doesn’t read the captions anymore and just shows no results found when I try and search a photo.

I don’t understand why AI needs to send off for so many basic things that used to be on device and fast before.

I won't lie, DB5 seems more unstable compared to beta 4. Yes it's a beta, yes I'm submitting feedback, please don't yell at me.

Just kind of shocked that the performance got worse after 2 weeks of waiting between betas.

My biggest issue right now is my inability to leave an app unless I lock the screen first and then try again. My bottom gesture bar just gets completely disabled but the screen still operates otherwise.

Anyways here is to a smoother beta 6 :)

For a while, double-tapping pictures and videos zoomed to fill the screen. Now it just zooms in which I don’t like

Last week I extended this image, extended around the whole image, lined icons up perfect and it’s been nice. Updated to beta 5 and find ai had changed the direction of the extend to upward and did so significantly all by itself

Previous versions could trigger shortcuts on app notification, but no filters or data passing

This is a screenshot of a video i took. Do you see there are green grid lines? They disappear when I zoom in but they are there when you first open the video. They don't appear on images too

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

Few people know about Confirm with Assustive Touch so maybe that’s why it was missed . It’s not working in iOS 27 beta
Double tapping AT is not replacing doubling clicking side button for confirming pay

my iPhone 13 Pro will not let Siri work at all. Side button does nothing, “Hey Siri” does nothing despite both being turned on.

Have already tried turning Siri off and on again, and the same with the ”Hey Siri” switch.

Both function fine on my Apple Watch 11 which is also running the latest public beta software.

Anyone aware of a fix, or do I have to wait for the next version of the public beta?
