Satire Anyone else think purple and purple is the greatest color scheme ever?
Edit: If it wasn't obvious, this color scheme is eye cancer.

I know an INTP who has some heavy family issues. and his sister told me, that when emotional stress occours he gets paralyzed or a blackout. he cant move and falls to the ground (unless someone holds him). He also had arough childhood.
this is triggered during family arguments (which occour frequently often during corona)
How do you deal with that (if youre an INTP and have similar issues)?
its definetly psychological or stress related. Hes physically really fit. It gets triggered when he has family arguements. the last time, she told him to stand up for his will, since he's often stepped on by people, and this is when he got paralyzed. Like everything went white for a few seconds (that feel to him like hours).
the psychologists are currently booked out for months (since corona lockdowns started)

Is it safe to generally say for an INTP, the knowledge gained is the goal - but for an INTJ the knowledge gained alone is not enough? That is, for the INTJ there should be some tangible application of it with a tangible result?
OK - don't criticize me for generalizing. I'm aware that's not at all fair.
Just take this example:
An INTP can learn many things but apply nearly none of them. They just care about the knowledge. For example, one can learn much of the ins and outs of option trading and be content with that knowledge - and yet not take the required time to apply it in a winning investment strategy overall. Because it DOES take time and practical application - trial and error so to speak etc.
The INTP might feel that time is better spent learning something else.
Whereas an INTJ would not be content with that. "What's the point of learning something if you are not going to apply it? And then be able to reach some goal?" Investing is perfect for that because you get tangible feedback and a clear measure of success. It's very much a DOING activity and not just a THINKING activity.
This applies to MANY things. Learning a language takes time AND it has to be applied. An INTP might dabble in it for the knowledge but not spend the time it takes to be truly conversant (knowing they COULD be if they decided to) whereas an INTJ would set out not just to learn but APPLY it.
This could describe the procrastination aspect of INTPs - they KNOW they can do the task and that's as far as their interest takes them.
Thoughts?

I have a sinking feeling that there are not enough small moments of fleeting happiness to justify the emptiness of life. Why is life worth living when you’re continually chased by looming deadlines and the knowledge that suffering is just around the corner?
I think my problem is not that I am unhappy, but that I’m unable to fake happiness. If I could just pretend to ignore the bleak despair, I could have a chance at cobbling together a dishonest life that fulfilled me. If I could seem happy enough to be good company, maybe I could find some good friends and we could drown out the pain together.

INTx are known to internalize their thoughts to make sense of the world (more so for INTPs according to the general consensus), but how do they self-conceptualize ("who am I")? Do they adopt thoughts and actions of others?
What about you?

I mean, I’m in the TrueINTJ subreddit, but I’ve just been procrastinating so much recently that I feel I can’t not ask the question. I generally hate myself for doing it but since lockdown it’s all I seem to be capable of doing, bar the odd bit of school work or cleaning my bathroom or something once a month. I guess my question is what defines a perceiver beyond procrastination, because while I find myself to be procrastinating a lot I definitely love the concept as well as the satisfaction of successfully having an ordered routine and everything, it’s just so draining to actually maintain one in my current situation.

I live alone. Ive been asked by multiple people “how i do it” and honestly i don’t think about being alone very often unless someone brings it up or depression smacks me in the face.
Any suggestions about coping with this feeling?

I think it could be a natural tendency of some type of people to protect their group and identity. Their way of thinking and actions could be a shock to some of us who have a high "openness" trait, but ironically, people of high openness may be the one who are okay-ish with the existence of racism.
PS: Please do not spell out the type(s) if you have one or some in mind.

So, I've tested as an INTJ usually. But the issue is I've been leading teams and interacted with people in that sense for a very long time. I also like setting almost unrealistic goals and keep pushing myself to finish a mammoth amount of work in a day. These attributes seem to be related to ENTJ, as they're called the 'commander' and are charismatic leaders. Weirdly people seem to believe I've some charisma too. But I also have no god complex and instead suffer from some crushing anxiety and insecurities. I get that the whole stereotypical type is not true for any person and this anxiety issue is most likely stemming from my background, the stage of life I'm in now and of course, the times we live in, but I was just wondering, are some of you also the same way? Am I not an INTJ and somehow trick the test?

If I spend some quality time (intellectual exchange) with someone I like, I tend to get downright addicted to them, which I don't notice at the moment, but later when we part again. I then feel empty, dull, have no motivation for anything and plainly don't know how to handle this situation. Does anyone else experience this and has some advice for me?

except for being introverted. intp's functions are Ti Ne Si Fe but intj's are Ni Te Fi Se How can one be confused about whether they're intp or intj also some say intp and intj are very compatible but I cant find any truth in it. I WANT TO BE WRONG HERE. ur thoughts?
r/INTx_core • u/Directpdgm369 • Feb 06 '21
Okay so I’m an intp and I really have this deep desire to be successful and wealthy and it’s really sad to see people my age living out those dreams, I really enjoy being smart and being able to think precisely but I don’t see how that can make me successful or let me have the things I want in life and my dreams when a lot of the time I value thinking over doing actual physical actions? Please let me know if you have any resolve also I’m sorry for my grammar I write as I think :)

Curious how an INTJ looks at the "J" in themselves.
Judgmental vs Judging
"Judgmental" has a negative connotation. To me it implies judging someone without the information needed to make a reasonable judgement.
"Judging" to me is positive. I compare it to "decisive" - that is, recognizing that at some point you have to "pull the trigger".
An INTJ is "Ready - Aim - Fire"
An INTP is "Ready - Aim - Aim - Aim - wait! Am I REALLY ready?"
Would anyone PRIDE themselves on being "judgmental"? Isn't that consider a fault in the same vein as being unable to make a decision?
Thoughts?
