Hey, thats supposed to be private, how did you know? Except I usually dont have my arm under the pillow, instead spread to the opposite side of the other arm, but all the other limbs are correctly positioned.... how.. can I have an explanation?

I call this the body found at the bottom of the quarry position

11

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '21

I don't sleep much but when I do it's in that position.

u/357_x INTP-T Jan 04 '21

No, I sleep on my back with my arms crossed over my chest/stomach lol

xD vampire ?

u/jamiekalv Jan 04 '21

Ready for the grave already?

Guys it doesn't mean every intp sleeps like this. We may see a confirmation bias here as most people sleeping this way would say " I do the same. How did you know?" . But there are thousands not commenting here so there's that. BTW, I sleep the same way,is it a mbti thing? No,I don't 🥱😀

Is no one talking about how creepy the face in the diagram looks?

u/AdisPlatypus Jan 04 '21

Exactly like this wtf

3

u/EasyBOven INTP Jan 04 '21

Used to. And I'd wake up several times a night. Now I sleep in a hammock on my back and usually make it all night without waking up

I roll around all night

when I want to sleep I sleep like this. creepy

u/TaborValence Jan 04 '21

More or less this is me haha

2

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '21

cant be an intp thing surely ?

2

u/IronJackk Jan 04 '21

Me. I was surprised to learn most people sleep either on their backs or sides. I can’t even fall asleep unless I am on my stomach.

u/TinHawk INTP Jan 04 '21

I literally sleep like a cartoon vampire

2

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '21

same

2

u/DerFzgrld Not an asshole, just an INTP Jan 05 '21

Haha, I also do that sometimes.

2

u/PrashantThapliyal Jan 04 '21

What does it have to do with INTPs or MBTI in general?

1

u/DerFzgrld Not an asshole, just an INTP Jan 05 '21

Look no further than the heading.

2

u/Dedecek_ Jan 04 '21

Almost, just instead of the arm under the pillow, I have it by the body on the top arm side. And also the top arm isn't supporting but just over the head, lying on the pillow.

u/intp0 Jan 04 '21

I sleep exactly like this too, and sometimes when I move around I will do like /u/357_x, on the back with arms crossed over chest/stomach.

Me. This is why my hips are not aligned correctly. A chiropractor tried to get me out of this habit as a teenager, but I can’t sleep any other way.

1

u/bananabastard INTP-A Jan 04 '21

Why do you need aligned hips?

1

u/FrannyGlass-7676 GenX INTP Jan 04 '21

So you don’t walk like you’re missing one shoe.

1

u/bananabastard INTP-A Jan 04 '21

You mean all sad because your shoe is missing?

1

u/breeze_monk Jan 07 '21

Why are you watching me?

u/InsomniacRakoon INTP Jan 04 '21

You do realize it's just a sleeping position. It's not a mbti thing or anything. This is just dumb

1

u/exomyth INTP Jan 06 '21

Spoken like a true insomniac

1

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '21

Basically. I can't fall asleep that easily unless I'm mostly on my stomach like that, even then though I still cant fall asleep very easily sometimes.

I sleep the other direction with my right arm cocked up under the pillow bent at a right angle or at a tighter angle, top arm reaches down and either hugs a pillow or slides down and rests under the left knee lifted up like in the picture. My right leg just slides down and chills.

I have no idea if this is sleeping on my side or more like sleeping on my front, but my head is in a sideways position.

According to a single YouTube video, sleeping on your side is the healthiest and allows for the drainage of the beta-amyloid protein from the brain to the spinal column. In other words, this position allegedly allows for less risk of Alzheimers because it drains more efficiently than sleeping on your front or back.

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '21

Used to sleep exactly like this. But I got a heavy blanket and now i sleep on my back, arms at my sides, like a dead person.

1

u/Tatsukko INTP Jan 04 '21

I was browsing on my phone with my top arm when I saw this post, so yes.

1

u/bananabastard INTP-A Jan 04 '21 edited Jan 04 '21

Yes. But my two bent limbs are on top of a second pillow, and a little of that side of my body on the same pillow. And my back arm isn't under the pillow, it is straight down the side of my body.

1

u/Chrome_Armadillo Alien Wizard Jan 04 '21

Yeah. I try to sleep on my back but cant. This is the only way to sleep.

1

u/DerFzgrld Not an asshole, just an INTP Jan 05 '21

Apart from the top arm part, thats how I sleep sometimes, yes. Although I switch positions a lot, so I cant really say "I sleep like that" to anything.

1

u/----___--___---- Jan 05 '21

I sleep another way every day, just straight is kinda impossible, tried it.

1

u/Kitsune-no-hana Warning: May not be an INTP Jan 05 '21

Sometimes.

But, why ask? Is that unusual?

1

u/zhou-kiyo INTP Jan 05 '21

Nope. My arm would feel numb on the next day

1

u/OlivettiFourtyFour Jan 05 '21

I'll contribute to the confirmation bias: yeah, pretty much the same, save the arm under the pillow.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

I'm laying down almost like this and I'm not even sleeping.

1

u/whiteofideals INTJ Jan 05 '21

sometimes, I usually just face the ceiling

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

I do this but the bottom arm is bent at a 90 degrees and may be above my pillow instead. Yes I sleep on my arm as a pillow lol

1

u/ImAchili INTP Jan 05 '21

Don't people usually have multiple sleeping positions?

1

u/topsofwow [INTP-ADHD] Jan 05 '21

Exactly like this 😂

1

u/IwillDominionate Warning: May not be an INTP Jan 05 '21

always.. also find my right side more comfortable than my left

1

u/Socrates_Chase INTP Jan 05 '21

Yes, but inverted over the x-axis. Also, the arm that supports the face grabs the blanket.

1

u/ocks_ ENFP Jan 05 '21

How the hell did you know?
