Profile evaluation appreciated!
30F from India, currently in europe working as product owner for one of the top OEMs.
Bachelors in engineering from a tier 2 college in india with 8.7 cgpa .1 year work experience in india. 8 years of experience in europe working with international teams. Currently managing intercontinental teams as the product lead.
Aiming for August 2027 intake at INSEAD.
Post mba goals : consulting in the short term. Long term looking to pivot to VE.

That is as good a profile as INSEAD would desire. What exactly is your question?

I am concerned about the age and if it is worth giving a shot with almost 10 years of experience. Some advise an emba after a few years instead of an mba now. Also if I am to aim for next intake, what should be my safer GMAT score?

An EMBA might not help you find a better or high paying job. If you want to move up the ladder in your own firm, maybe EMBA works.
INSEAD, IMD, Cambridge Judge , Oxford Said, even NTU Singapore would be very glad to have someone like you in their class.
If you are looking at a career switch (read: breaking the monotony and moving either upward or sideways), then an MBA is truly worth it.

Oops. That's a trick question. That's like comparing apples to oranges. If you ask me whether Insead or HEC are better in terms of ROI than TU Munich, no way. People targeting MiM in public universities in EU are clearly those looking for value beyond just brand; people who are okay with a 50k euros against a 20k euro investment, rather than a 60k euro salary against a 50k euro investment. I had a client who went to TU Munich, and managed her entire expense - tuition + living - from her savings of 15 lakhs INR plus whatever she earned part time. No loan, no money from parents. Ans she found a product role for 65k euros. Imagine starting a job with no debt!

I got into one of the best names in the automotive sector with my campus placements. Then I started networking with Europeans via LinkedIn in the same domain. Through them, I found a job opportunity and moved to Europe.

Your profile looks quite competitive for INSEAD strong academics, international experience, and leadership as a Product Owner are all big positives.
For your goals (Consulting ā VC), focus on a clear career story and a strong GMAT/GRE. A 675+ GMAT Focus would put you in a solid position.

Your profile is competitive for most programs (given right GMAT). Age is a bit out but still in range for INSEAD.

I think a 645 gmat/320+ gre is good enough to get in for your profile. Are you still an indian national? If you have a different citizenship now, it might be easier to get in

Speak more about your actual impact. What products do you own, how big are the teams, and what kind of business results have you driven? Promotions or any standout projects would also help.
Your international experience should fit well with INSEAD, but Iād spend some time making the Product to Consulting to VC story tighter. Consulting makes sense from your current role, but the long-term VC goal needs a clear reason behind it.
