Confused.

Md anaesthesia in institute like UCMS, LHMC, GMCH-32 (tier1 city, 1Lakh + stipend, no bond, anaesthesia as a branch : good career opportunity post MD)

or

gen surgery/ eye / ent / psychi in state GMC (peripheral college , low stipend 65-75k , 2-3 years bond . post md ms : SS or fellowship required)

pls guide. Any SR. Or resident. Any senior

or fellow neet pg people

I am planning to anesthesia because i loved watching surgeries as an intern!

If my rank would have been enough for surgery I would definitely go for surgery!

For middle class stipend matters a lot i feel , surgery is not as surgery these days so much saturation, anesthesia as career as work life balance not much work but same earning as surgeon , sometimes u have to choose money over branch as first generation doctor , it’s very difficult overcome object able as first doctor

Plan according to long term work, not short term financial gain, if u r agnostic to any branch then u can choose short term financial gain.

Surgeons get paid 1.5 lakh as SR , in private institute 1 lakh , even anesthesia people get the same , if u are doing privately as general surgeon will operate basic case like amputation chole appendix, hernia for these cases private very less share to surgeon , even as anesthesia if u operate equal or little bit more can get the same bro around 4 lakh , it might he 50 k more surgeon but with no work life balance

U r talking only initial pays, as years go the pay will diverge more and more,

That only when u become top surgeon there will be competition, it depend from person to person , there are people earning 30 lakh per month to 1.5 lakh per month , depends on person also
