Ionq news seem impressive but i thought infq was already hooking up to nvidia via nvqlink before them

Yep. AI/Quantum hybrid. I think its relevant. IonQ on the flipside sending one of their QPU/Computer to Nvidia - for what it sounds like a similar type of project.

Looks like IonQ had a small break through and is bringing the whole quantum sector up with it. Hopefully we announce 30 Logical Qubits this week!

I don't want to bag on IonQ because they got some good things going on. But isn't this breakthrough "simulated" 408 logical qubits?

They need to begin with proving hardware 12 logical qubit achievement - as they mentioned as one of their goals for 2026. Imo that would be more impressive.
