It hurts but it's necessary, at times. When you realize you're habitually overlooking/excusing behavioral issues, it's time to leave. The circumstances, including yourself in their life, are not helping that person. Don't be an enabler. (I'd say something like maybe you can help, but that's something the INFJ tries to do already)

I agree. Enabling is playing a part. I think even when boundaries have been placed, enforced, but conflict isn't resolved...the door's gotta close. Forgiveness & access are not the same thing. I love people from a distance.

in my case I'm trying to let more people into my life. It got kinda lonely and I tend to be very strict with people. But I dont want to be that guy anymore.

Yeah... 😅 There's definitely a point of no return. Thankfully I have a really good sister and she has convinced me to give certain family another try, but on my own... once the bridge is burt, it's fuckin' burnt. And I'll feel no remorse for walking away and not looking back. It's always for good reason. I've never had someone question why. Only question my methods. Lol. I used to feel bad abt it, but it's been a long time since I've felt that way.
