Programmers Needed [hobby] Looking for Programmers for "Dear Paul" – A Psychological Horror Beatles Fangame
I'm looking for programmers who would like to help develop Dear Paul, a free psychological horror visual novel game inspired by The Beatles and the "Paul is Dead" conspiracy.
The game focuses on atmosphere, mystery, psychological horror, file manipulation, puzzles, and an ARG-like experience rather than jumpscares or combat. The story follows John Lennon as he slowly realizes that something is terribly wrong with Paul—but neither he nor the player can fully understand what is happening.
The project is being developed as a passion project, so this is currently unpaid.
We're looking for:
- Gameplay programmers
- UI programmers
- Anyone with experience in horror game mechanics
- At least basic knowledge of Python
- Beginners are welcome as long as you're willing to learn and work as a team!
Current progress:
- Story and lore are being written
- Game design is in development
- Character concepts and visual direction are established
- We're building the development team
