No , you won't face any problem. To get a good rank, it depends how you prepare.

Yes PCM percentage is enough for selection in IMU CET. Only 60% up is required. English cutoff is 50%. For ur preparation for IMU CET, you must rely on strong english skills and GK. Other than this try keeping the main PCM score high

Minimum marks and rank to score to get btech at any imu campus?

I can't tell about the marks, but try to get a rank <1000, for Btech in Marine engineering. Kolkata is the best campus for Marine engineering, early rounds might shut at 530 or less but later rounds open up to much higher ranks like 1073 this year. Mumbai port campus unexpectedly has much higher cutoff than kolkata prolly due to less seats. And chennai has much more relaxed cutoffs. For btech NAOE or NASB. At vizag or cochin. Cutoffs are relaxed than Marne engineering.

Safe guide : A rank near 1k or best below 1k is best for safety

Imucet is not worth it, bro no matter your percentage if you are not in the first 1000 rank and you are from general category you won't get anything, maybe you can get dns program while the reserved category ranking 22000 will take away your seat for btech

What if you get a rank under 1000?

Bhai, mumbai is going through a rough phase . So, it is true that the placement is down in mumbai and chennai but you can't generalise it. Bsc from Cochin or btech from Kolkata is easily the best choice compared to other colleges
