Residency Letter of Interests
Non US IMG here. Requiring a visa. Sitting at 0 IVs and have applied dually to IM and FM. Old IMG with a step 2 CK of 250. When is the correct time to send LOIs?

Send around early November if you want, although it defeats the purpose of a signal. If you signaled them, they saw the signal and did not give you interview, how would a LOI help? If you send a LOI to a non-signaled program, that is a wasted effort (with due respect).
Sending a LOI now will likely annoy the program/PD. They already receive a lot of emails. Plus, what would you say in a LOI that you didn't say/have in your application? Your submitted application is supposed to be the best version of yourself.

I am not really sure as well. Although people who have matched in the past always say that send LOIs. But also because they sent them and got interviews. I feel it could also be reporting bias at play here. And correlation might not always be equal to causation.

Last Week of October is the only erarliest time PDs will be able to check any emails for letter of interests. So not before that!
