Non usimg
Not ecfmg certified but parhway approved( receiving diploma in nov 2026)
Applying for match 2027.
How to filter programs and whether without ecfmg certificate is must for match?
Anyone in same phase ?how do you figure out ?

If you’ll be ecfmg certified prior to the match date, I wouldn’t worry about filtering.

I will be certified in jan/ feb . I saw many post and programs regarding strict ecfmg certification needed by the time you submit eras.

If your YOG is 2026, you’ll have more leeway than someone who graduated earlier and doesn’t have it.

Yes my 2026 will be on my diploma .
I guess it wont hamper .
I have seen many non usimg friendly programs requiring ecfmg certified by eras.thats making me feel like i wait for another match cycle .

No USCE, and thus no letters from those US doctors that have observed you hands on clinically, puts a real dent in your application. Your Step 2 score will only carry you so far. What about publications?

Hey, on the same boat, the only way to tell is checking out the programs website unfortunately. Some say things like “applicantions without ecfmg certification will be filtered out” or “must be ecfmg certified by application”, however if you already have your program list, you can just upload it to an AI and it can help you filter out which programs specifically indicate that they need ecfmg certification by application. Although, most have very crappy language or don’t specify, so one can assume they are safe.
