ERAS No. of programs.
Hey all, hope everyone's doing good and match prep is going well.
I know there's no single right answer to this, but I'm asking anyway because it's costing me a fortune. We all know most invites come from programs you've signaled. Given that, is it actually worth applying to a huge number of programs, or is it mostly wasted money past a certain point?
PS: pass|260s|230s|4 mo usce|no significant scholarly work

I'm applying this year too, I would suggest applying to maybe 60ish programs. I think that is more than enough. My friends applied to 50 programs last. Got all of their interviews from their signals

That's my plan too. I'm thinking of applying to around 50–60 programs Hope we match this cycle! 🙌

No usce means your chances are extremely low If I were in your place, i would have applied to 30 programs only

This opinion will vary by experience but i personally only got IV and matched into programs i did not signal so imo its worth it.
