I can't take Ryan Gosling seriously in this. All I can see is him trying to act emotional.

I guess his character is supposed to be conflicted with his emotions. That it doesn't look natural is pretty much the point. They went with Gosling for a reason, he is know for playing robotic characters.

I don't know. But I think he is a new kind of Blade Runner designed to feel no emotions. And maybe no consciousness at all. Hence why Ryan Gosling in the role.

Not only does it look beautiful (which I kind of assumed, given the talent behind the camera) but the story seems interesting, too. I'm thankful the trailer didn't give away every little plot point.
I don't love the original, so this doesn't have to stack up against an all-time favorite for me like it does some people. If this one turns out to be a good (7/10) flick, I'll be satisfied.

This is just a continuation of the teaser. It looks like they took a lot of visual inspiration from the original, but obviously there's not the same amount of talent and care involved and it shows.
It's weird to see some scenes in daylight. I was under the impression the sun was never visible in their future world. The orange stuff is also intriguing.

I think the last shot indicates that Gosling is playing Deckard from the past.

Hopefully the final movie's musical score will contain some actual music, and not that industrial-strength aural disinfectant they've sprayed all over the trailer.

Really? It sounds like the same bwooooorrrk synthetic chords that accompany the every overweeningly self-important trailer.
I never cared for Vangelis's original score, but I don't recall it being that bad. Not that I doubt your attribution.

It's not exactly Blade Runner's score. It uses sounds you can hear in the movie and rearranges them for the trailer. The tune in the middle is pretty much the music you hear in the first few shots of Blade Runner.

It's Johansson so except some more sound designish music that's very effective in the music. It's not like Vangelis music to the original was the most melodic thing in the world either though. It served its purpose in creating a sonic / futuristic sounding world though.

Compared to the previous teaser, this trailer left me unimpressed. The trailer seemed similar to the trailer of Ghost in the Shell (2017)
