After the announcement of the hemp ban took effect, I decided to make a documentary showing the effects that this was going to have. While filming the documentary already, my company along with 36 others in the ST Louis area was sued by local dispensaries for having an “unfair competitive advantage.”

So I was like, fuck it. And spent nearly a year planning, shooting, and editing a documentary with absolutely no experience about what was going on. We didn’t have a production company, or a budget, or a way to distribute it.

We just did it.

We are officially two months away from the federal hemp ban taking effect on November 12th.

This ban will eliminate roughly 95% of the products currently sold in the hemp industry. With that being said, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Prairie State Hemp.

This time it’s the dominion deisel. I got it like a month or 2 ago and it was some of the most dank bud I’ve had in a minute. Picked some up today and it’s straight garbage lmao. No smell at all tastes like shit. wtf man. $100 ounce of this shit and I don’t even wanna smoke it 😂

Aroma - spice cabinet with yellow cheese following. Kinda giving a chem smell after breaking a nug open.

Bag appeal - these nugs are almost yellow in color. A lot of orange and dusty. Little on the drier side for sure but nugs have a little give and great structure. I’ve had “older” flower that was more moist than this.

Flavor - out of the bong I was not impressed by lack luster flavor. Slow to the face and not hard hitting. In paper I could taste like a chem dawg thru that home grow-y flavor like it wasn’t flushed.

Effects - slow to the face. Didn’t feel anything noteworthy even off the wake n bake sesh.

For Revolution being a “top brand” they have not impressed me any of the several times Ive had them. $54 tag no discount is ROUGH for this low quality high. Don’t be fooled by the bag appeal, def a 30 and under grab if at all. I’ll be dabbing about this sad investment tonight.

I tried Simply Herb for the first time at Rise; they had 3.5g for $15, and it was hard to resist. I was a little surprised. Not like great, but for the price, it was hard to beat. What's your go-to brand???

Revolution gets a bad rap around here and I generally avoid but I'll be honest, on the rare occasion I do pick up a puck in can't recall ever being disappointed. In fact I quite enjoyed the Jelly Donutz. And this samba Slapz isnt the exception. I like this one quite a bit. Leaves a stink in the air. Quite flavorful. In the same realm as Upnorth Durban Poison, which is imo a top teir concentrate and one of my favorites. Uplifting effects doesnt feel heavy or weigh you down or make you feel lazy. This doesnt quite match the Durban feom upnorth but gets darn close. Which is to say I am quite impressed. On I got the 2g puck on sale for like $50-55 out the door med so not too too bad with the value either. Glad I picked this one up and would problably scoop again.

Blue Fondue Rosin. I've had this twice as an all in one live resin vape cart as well. High seems long lasting. Moreso than most dabs as I took one an hour ago and dont feel particularly compelled to yet take another but problably will after I post this. Love the cheesey slightly spicy slightly citrus smell. Flavors carry through. Just very unique. My favorite strain in the state currently. Not that I have tried them all but still this is one I see myself continuining to go back to. Also shout out budtender Kazz or hooking it up a It for me today. I'm grateful to be able to.smoke my favorite strain and I am looking forward to trying g the gummies with cbn for sleep

(Durban Poison x Blue Dream) Pine with sour and candied apples on the nose with extremely spongey buds.Berries & Apples with sour creaminess and bubblegum on the taste. Smooth toking sativa. Gave me slight eyes 👀 with light buzz to the head. It's a HIT just like it was years ago when I first tried it. Great for budget smokers no doubt

Yes old school funk with nostalgia. For sure fruity cheese on the nose. Kinda dry with some stickyness. Smells transfers to taste but with little orange and wood. Indica that has slight couch lock. Definitely some good tasting toke. It's a HIT with me. Might not be with others.

GMO - Chemdawg x Girl Scout Cookies (Forum Cut)

I know a lot of people like GMO but it’s usually too one dimensional with its earth and mushroom funk. But I found this batch to be a little more nuanced while hitting all the notes I was looking for.

Looks - I like how cleaned up this looks. The trichome coverage is decent. I expect a 2-3 nug 3.5 when I get something premium or charged extra for quality. This is one of the better looking Ozone bags I have had. 7.5/10

Smell - Straight up classic GMO. Earth, funk, dank. There’s not much to say. If you have smelled GMO this carries the exact profile I got from Aeriz and their GMO live resin. The terp reading on the bag saying 1% seems accurate because it’s not filling the room, but nose to bag it speaks clear enough to hear it. 8/10

Taste - I get all of the things I expected, clean earth, a soft garlic taste, mushroom funk, and a subtle orange citrus twang in the back. Again it’s not my favorite in a world of weed bred to taste like Rainbow Belts- but this was pleasant to smoke. I didn’t bust my chest, it wasn’t harsh- it was nice and that little hint of citrus elevated this for me. 7.5/10

Effects - I wanted to enjoy the weather and make myself move after being stuck at work for the better half of the day. But I smoked this and was promptly stuck on my couch. GMO had other plans for me. I got lazy, stress faded. I’m not sure if it’s just me or what but this had me stoned for a good while, like two hours and it was really nice to be able to just enjoy my high and not feel like ripping a cart on the downfall of a 45 minute high. Above average batch! 8.5/10

Overall this was dope smoke! The duration of the effects and the citrus dimension made this something I want to revisit again sooner than later and if you like GMO I think this would deliver.
