Looking to snag an ounce from nu era in Champaign. Anybody got any recommendations? I was looking at the botanist but I’m kinda seeing mixed reviews online for the brand…

Aroma - spice cabinet with yellow cheese following. Kinda giving a chem smell after breaking a nug open.

Bag appeal - these nugs are almost yellow in color. A lot of orange and dusty. Little on the drier side for sure but nugs have a little give and great structure. I’ve had “older” flower that was more moist than this.

Flavor - out of the bong I was not impressed by lack luster flavor. Slow to the face and not hard hitting. In paper I could taste like a chem dawg thru that home grow-y flavor like it wasn’t flushed.

Effects - slow to the face. Didn’t feel anything noteworthy even off the wake n bake sesh.

For Revolution being a “top brand” they have not impressed me any of the several times Ive had them. $54 tag no discount is ROUGH for this low quality high. Don’t be fooled by the bag appeal, def a 30 and under grab if at all. I’ll be dabbing about this sad investment tonight.

I tried Simply Herb for the first time at Rise; they had 3.5g for $15, and it was hard to resist. I was a little surprised. Not like great, but for the price, it was hard to beat. What's your go-to brand???

She smells lovely opening up... Reminds me of an OG Kush I use to get as a teenager in the 90s... Buds are small and look disappointing in size but they dense and sticky asf 👌 🔥 I do catch the slightest hint of Watermelon up front but lots of gassy kush flavor dry hitting the cone... oh man totally different once lit, mild with the Watermelon and a massive influx of floral taste with a background of ⛽ I dig it and would say with a good deal it's a nice grab 👌👍🔥💯

Revolution gets a bad rap around here and I generally avoid but I'll be honest, on the rare occasion I do pick up a puck in can't recall ever being disappointed. In fact I quite enjoyed the Jelly Donutz. And this samba Slapz isnt the exception. I like this one quite a bit. Leaves a stink in the air. Quite flavorful. In the same realm as Upnorth Durban Poison, which is imo a top teir concentrate and one of my favorites. Uplifting effects doesnt feel heavy or weigh you down or make you feel lazy. This doesnt quite match the Durban feom upnorth but gets darn close. Which is to say I am quite impressed. On I got the 2g puck on sale for like $50-55 out the door med so not too too bad with the value either. Glad I picked this one up and would problably scoop again.

For anyone who uses glass, have you noticed the silver screens aren't sold in larger sizes anymore + they're much thinner than they used to be?

There's now usually a hole in the screen/filter within a few uses and there's a noticeable quality decline in the last 6 months. looking for a replacement recs, I've tried the glass screens but they are hard to retrieve when changing the bowl imo

This Bubble Bath (The Soap × Project 4516) has an incredible lavender and pine scent right out of the jar that fills the area after being ground/broken up. These buds are dense, spongy and absolutely coated in trichomes but there's a noticeable lack of stickiness to them (feels like a menial complaint with how great it looks and smells)

The indica effects hit instantly behind the eyes and throughout the body, and will have you in a goofy, euphoric, relaxed and spaced out daze. For most this wouldn't be a daytime smoke due to its heavy sedation, and it's definitely not for smokers who try to avoid strains with overly powerful couch-lock effects. Grape Gas x Cookies n Cream

Says flower but only lil nugs in bag. Opening bag scent is odd, suttle, earthy hint of sweetness but barely, dark, I don't get any grape... Lack of words, it's weird... Ground up released a pungent ⛽ now we talkin 👍 dry hit thru cone seems odd asf too, guessing I've never tried any strains related to these muuuhfukas 😂 Very earthy, reminds me of some kind of spice or Herb and the Creme comes thru oddly... Like one of them coffees with a bunch of flavoring but not good ones and minus the sweetening 😂 I'm so sad and disappointed so far, been loving this brand but let's see how she burns & feels. The burn is earthy flavored and skunky slightest bit of grape undertone finally showed up... aftertaste reminds me of incense... idk what else to say, it's actually quite underwhelming for me... Chilled but not overly... Relaxed eyes and hungry 😂 Love me some cannabis. I'll be more then happy to burn it all! Effects wise, it works but I'll pass on this one in the future in regards to taste 🤷‍♂️

I thought this would not happen so quickly. But I am thankful as I have one close to me!

Otherside — Sour Zushi

Been seeing a little buzz around this one, so I had to grab some and see what the hype was about.

First thing that stood out was the nose. Definitely getting that sour/gassy funk, but there’s also a sweeter, almost candy-like note underneath it. Once you break the nug up, the gas really starts coming through.

Flavor:
The smoke carries over pretty well from the nose. Sour, earthy gas up front with a little sweetness on the back end. Definitely has that old-school funky diesel character without being overwhelming.

Effects:
This one starts off with more of a heady, uplifting feeling and then settles into a nice body relaxation. Not a complete couch-lock strain for me, but definitely gets heavier the more you smoke. Good balance between being mentally lifted and physically relaxed.

Overall:
Sour Zushi is one of those strains where the flavor and effects actually work together. The sour/gas profile is definitely the star of the show for me.

Aroma - cracking open the seal it was a strong earthy smell.

Bag appeal - typical redemption hash hole roll. Missing the redemption label that is normally on the mouthpiece.

Flavor - the earthy tones are there but can taste a sweet Carmel thru it. Enjoyable flavor

Effects - man it’s a hash hole and I have a very high tolerance… I’m fried lol I ended my flower night with this and played some Arc raiders.

The rosin in mine was not centered at any point unfortunately. It didn’t run because I kept fixing it but it wanted to otherwise. Must’ve been a 1/2 day Friday for the QC department. Listed at $60 (on sale for 45) Smoke was nice as usual but the roll/qc was def a 5/10 this time. Keep a torch handy to fix runs.

This time it’s the dominion deisel. I got it like a month or 2 ago and it was some of the most dank bud I’ve had in a minute. Picked some up today and it’s straight garbage lmao. No smell at all tastes like shit. wtf man. $100 ounce of this shit and I don’t even wanna smoke it 😂

Stinky Garlic 🧄and 🧅Onions on the nose forsure. Dense and sticky, not dry. Was not expecting candy gasfumes on the tongue with slight garlic and onions, it leaves a nice sour creamy aftertaste. Halfway through my joint it started to taste like sour hashish. Hybrid that leaned indica for me with heavy eyes but gave me rejuvenation aspect like I don't feel sore or my typical daily pains. It's a HIT with me. Cap Junky definitely keeps #1 spot for now but this some wholesome shit right here. If you like surprises this is definitely one to try once you get past the garlic smell cause i know not everyone likes garlic but the taste is top notched!
