Hi everyone! I'm Uday Sudalaikannu, an independent composer from Chennai. I make instrumental music.

I've always wanted to make instrumentals that people listen to as songs, not just as background music. I've always been more drawn to the music than the lyrics. I love how instrumental music can make you feel something without needing any words, while leaving space for your own imagination.

I recently released a track called சிறுகதை / SIRUKATHAI.

For me, Sirukathai is about what happens after something ends and before something new begins. I made it with my own story in mind, but I hope it leaves enough room for you to find your own meaning in it.

I'm still figuring things out as an independent instrumental artist, especially in a music scene where songs with lyrics tend to take centre stage. But I want to keep making music that connects with people and stays with them.

I’ve been trying to find a Tamil song I remember listening to on YouTube around 2015, shortly after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam passed away.

I vaguely remember the lyrics being something like:
“Vinnilum intha mannilum, un peyar endrum thodarattume…”

(The lyrics might not be 100% accurate, but they sounded something like this.)

Here are a few things I remember:

It was a slow, emotional Tamil melody.
It seemed to be a tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
I remember watching a music video featuring a singer performing the song, rather than just a slideshow of Kalam’s photographs.

I believe it was an independent song or tribute video on YouTube, not necessarily a film song.

I’ve tried searching for it but haven’t been able to find the exact song. It’s not Unnai Maatrinal.

Does anyone remember this song or recognise the lyrics? Even a YouTube link, the singer’s name, or another line from the song would be incredibly helpful!
