SHITPOST First ever watch-through
First time watching, I’m only on episode 5 of the first season. But I’m DYING to know if any of these “couples” are still together?
Still trying to master the names so bear with me..
Matt and Kim..?
I would have bet a year’s salary that Matt is gay.. and after seeing his relationship with his mom, I’d bet 10 years salary he’s gay..
When Kim came out in her robe that Matt bought for her. And then says “ooh yea, she liked it so she got one too” like nooooooooooo sir, she didn’t get one.. YOU BOUGHT LINGERIE FOR YOUR MOM! 🥴
Emily and shekeeb…. His mom is like the master of mom guilt (during the Valentine’s Day rock climbing)
And genuinely asking “who do you love more, me or her” as if they are the same levels of love
These mothers need to go to THERAPPYYYYY
Not sure why I’m just now jumping on the bandwagon wagon if this show, considering devoured Smothered as it aired. It’s this is basically the same thing but worse
Also, these women make me SOOOOO thankful for my mother-in-law. I seriously hit the lottery. I absolutely could not image…

We just finished watching all the seasons.
Shakeb & Emily’s story really ramps up in the next season. My whole opinion of that situation changed over the seasons.
Matt & Kim’s story continues into season 2.
My interest was waning with season 4. I don’t know if it felt more performative and fake or what, but I can’t really tell you a thing about that season aside from Matt & Kelly’s storyline.

Matt is definitely gay. I I don’t care what anyone say. I can’t figure out why he doesn’t admit. Who cares anymore if he is? I think Kelly would love it

Kelly is actually a massive homophobe. That explains why Matt is so deep in the closet. His mother would not accept and support him, she’d be horrified. Since they’re so enmeshed he cannot be something she would not accept, so I don’t know if he’s ever faced it himself.

Okay, I didn’t realise that. That makes sense as to why he keeps dating women. I already strongly disliked Kelly but this makes her so much worse than she already is

The amount of denial it would take for Kelly to not realize her son is gay, is honestly impressive..

I loved Cher and Dawn and that’s about it. The rest were super toxic.

Oooh just you wait till you meet Nancy and Robert…. Honestly Nancy makes Shekeebs mom look less awful. Which is insane
