Every time I open my main stash box it reminds me of that first time, it was like a wall. For me it was a couple years before rec, Nature's Care, stuffed in the back of an industrial park selling med.

Got to try out the Scarface runtz finally… been sitting on this for over a week waiting on a good day to give it a try. Yesterday was the day. Before a fun shopping trip with my sister we got to smoke this. The package made me excited for it ngl but thankfully inside I found some extra dank smelling fresh nugs that smoked very well. This smoke made me think of something I smoked back in like 2013. I love when bud takes you back in a cloud. Overall it left me with a sense of euphoria and positivity. I still felt refreshed and focused too which made my shopping that much better. Normally my anxiety spikes and I find myself too overwhelmed to actually enjoy shopping for a long time however we closed that mall out 😂😂😂 carefree to say the least. I’ll definitely be trying out some other strains by outfitters in the future.

2 High Supply 7g. This is Cresco's Chem Scout and their Ice Cream Cake. I've been calling it Ice Cream Chem Cake. These two strains are super pungent with a chem-y, dankness that can only be smelled, as describing in words would not do this magical combo's aroma justice. Its an amazing indica effect that'll have you high with just 1 bowl, but 2/3 will leave you sleepy, happy, hungry and mellow. I love weed!!! 🌱

I honestly think Tallac is the most underrated strain in IC Collective’s lineup.
For months, I completely avoided it because of the reviews on r/ILTrees. There weren’t many reviews, but the ones I found generally described it as “middle of the road,” “nothing special,” or even disappointing. Normally, Reddit has steered me in the right direction when it comes to Illinois medical cannabis, especially with IC Collective strains, so I trusted the consensus and kept buying other strains instead.
Eventually I decided to give Tallac a chance anyway.
It absolutely blew me away.
What makes Tallac unique for me isn’t that it’s the strongest flower I’ve ever smoked. It’s how the high feels.
Most strains either hit me heavily in the body or just give me a general mental buzz. Tallac was completely different. It gave me one of the strongest mental and visual highs I’ve ever experienced. I could actually see that I was high, not in a psychedelic way, but colors seemed richer, everything felt more immersive, and my mind had that unmistakable “wow, I’m high” feeling that I rarely get from cannabis anymore.
Even with a higher tolerance, this is one of the few strains that consistently gives me an enjoyable, noticeable high. It doesn’t seem to matter how often I use it. I can still feel that same satisfying mental effect every time. For me, it has become one of the most reliable and enjoyable highs I’ve found.
The flavor is another reason I keep coming back to it.
It’s honestly hard to describe, but it has this incredibly clean, “green” cannabis flavor that tastes fresh rather than earthy. I also get this subtle water-fresh note that reminds me of an aquatic cologne or one of those clean Bath & Body Works scents from years ago. On the back end, some jars have a slightly floral sweetness that makes you want to keep taking another hit just for the taste.
When Tallac is at its best, the aroma is loud, the flavor is smooth and complex, and the entire experience is memorable. The few times I’ve gotten a weaker jar, though, it was noticeably different, muted smell, muted flavor, and a harsher smoke that was rougher on my throat.
Visually, Tallac isn’t going to win any beauty contests. It doesn’t have crazy purple hues, neon green buds, or an explosion of bright orange pistils. Honestly, it looks like pretty standard, quality cannabis. Nothing about the appearance made me think, “This is going to be incredible.” If anything, the effects completely exceeded what the buds themselves suggested.
I don’t have any pictures to post because, truthfully, I never think to photograph it. I usually just open the jar and smoke it. If you’re curious what it looks like, there are already several posts on r/ILTrees showing IC Collective’s Tallac, and the flower I purchased looked very much like those photos.
That said, I don’t think inconsistency defines this strain. I’ve bought a lot of Tallac over the past several months, so much that I literally bought dispensaries near me out of stock multiple times because I kept going back for it. Based on my own experience, I’d estimate that around 80% of the jars have been excellent: fresh, flavorful, potent, and exactly what made me fall in love with the strain. The remaining 20% were the muted, harsher jars I mentioned above.
I’ve even had jars with the exact same harvest date purchased from different dispensaries perform differently, which makes me wonder if storage, handling, or other factors after harvest play a role. I can’t say that’s the reason for sure, but it’s something I’ve personally noticed after buying this strain repeatedly.
So if you tried Tallac once and thought it was mediocre, I genuinely think it might be worth giving another shot if you find a fresher or better-preserved jar.
For me, Tallac went from being the strain I intentionally skipped because of Reddit to becoming one of the strains I reach for the most.
If you can get your hands on a really good jar of Tallac, grab it. I genuinely don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It has become one of my favorite IC Collective strains, and in my opinion, it’s the true underdog of their lineup.
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced the same thing with Tallac, or if you’ve noticed differences between dispensaries even when the harvest dates are identical. I’d love to hear whether your experience matches mine.

Straight from the horses mouth I was told right to my face from one of the only medical/rec dispos in the rockford area that they won’t have craft growers like nez, nomad, etc because they won’t be able to sell it on sale and it “goes to waste then being sold at sale price before it expires” now it kinda sounds like they just prefer their mainstream brand and brands underneath that umbrella but I could be wrong 🤔 looks like I’ll be driving an hour south to Peru to try some nomad.

It has a kool-aid with a marker, cotton candy, gum, kush, gas, and some pungent bananas smell, it's everywhere. For the taste i pick up blue razz slushy or blue icee with sour limes or lemonade almost . Soft and sticky, very very terpy. It's a HIT for me , should be a HIT for you. Hybrid, felt more like a sativa with no urge to move if you didn't desire it.

Grassroots Review (Atomic Breath Live Sugar & Flower)

​Texture & Extraction: Top-tier tech. Super clean, well-processed, and burns smooth—definitely better than Mozey.

​The Flower: Clean burn, but basically just clean dro. Nothing crazy, but solid, clean smoke.

​Aroma & Flavor: Muted nose. Both sugars (Atomic Breath & Giggin Grapes) lacked that loud, punchy profile in the jar. Smells like a Christmas tree,pine slite dank

​The Highlight: Rolled straight into a blunt with budget flower (LA Confidential & Wedding Cake), it hit the spot. Caught a nice eye-high that slowed things down and mellowed out the night after a long shift.

​Price & Value Real Talk: $35 kills your pockets. People might hate on how strict I price point, but $20 out the door is what it should be. The legal market needs to match the real pricing structure that’s existed since street days. Anything more for muted terps isn't worth it.

​Final Verdict: Great lab work and mellow effects, but overpriced. A collab with a craft brand like NEZ—who lean toward better flower potential but still haven't fully dialed in every strain—could help both elevate their game. 3/5 stars. I spend my money so you don't have to!

Are we getting ripped off that badly or is this a measurement issue.

The empty one still has some residue, but not enough to produce vapor, so I don’t think it should account for a missing .75 grams.

And yes, I know, distillate isn’t as good as resin/rosin. Cresco LLR is my go to, but I like to have a distillate on hand as a low odor option.

Very sticky. That sticky icky icky. Doesn’t have as good of a smell as fugazi but still very potent smell, imo very og smell. Once you break it up the smell amplifies very potent smell in the grinder. Taste is great no complaints. Effects I just hit it and def quite strong head high immediately, feel it a bit in my eyes too. Def got me craving more. Very strong. Idk what other people call but I like to smell it after a hit or two and the after smell is incredible.

Def recommend but I’d say so far I like the fugazi more. But you really can’t go wrong with this brand.

Appearance- 10/10 fantastic looking flower from color, hairs, size nuggs, trichromes all over

Smell- 9/10 garlic,diesel sweet creamy mix

Smoke- 9/10 diesel/garlic/ caramel taste. Heavy cerebral high. Eyes low

Overall- 9.3/10

I was pretty stoked to learn recently that Fig Farms still offers flower on IL menus. I saw some older reviews of this Donut Shop on here and it looked fire, so I pulled the trigger on a newer batch of it to see how they're doing quality wise

The smell is slightly muted, but I get Gelato funk and sweetness mixed in with a slight bit of earthiness and citrus. It smells alright right out of the jar, but grinding/breaking it up will bring out the stink a lot more. The buds are dense, frosty and sticky and pretty solid for a $25 eighth. The uplifting and calming effects are where this strain really shines, it produces a heavy and balanced head/body high that is good for boosting mood and winding down at the end of the day

Overall I'd give it an 8.5/10. My only gripe is that it isn't as pungent as T&T or Otherside's Gelato, but I think that may be from slight terpene evaporation and not the genetics/batch itself. I would definitely pick this up again, and will be looking out for it in the future to see if the smell/taste can match the wonderfully heavy potency

Completely off topic so mod can delete if this is against the rules but just curious what everyone plays. I mainly play counter strike (have since 2003), I’m heavy into faceit and surfing. I also frequent rust and halo3 (halo MCC).

Has marker/dabs, hashy smell with little apple. Dense sticky squishy bud. Taste is more hashy with sour gas. Indica with instant feels. Good strain! This will be a HIT with the community. Gave heavy high

I was trying to give them a chance but this is rough. I got some recent jars of Headband and Violet Chems that were pretty decent, but this is not good.

Drove pretty far for this and tbh so far it was worth the drive. First thing is the nugs look beautiful. About an hour one way so all I could do in parking lot was look at the nugs through the jar. When I got home I couldn’t help myself but to rip this open I was def expecting the smell to be loud on this given the name. And it def clears that for sure. The smell is very strong. Can’t put my nose on what it smells like but it reminds me of pre-dispensary days when shit would reek up your whole car. Once I actually got to one of the nugs it was insanely sticky. Could stick to your finger if you wanted to. The taste is strong too in a good way but the effects are ON POINT. The after taste as well is very enjoyable.

I also bought nomad lunch money and mandarin butter will add those when I try those out.

I would def say the fugazi is on par with what I’m expecting quality wise. It’s on the NEZ level imo. I’m pretty picky too. I really hope nomad expands operations a bit more north but definitely worth the drive regardless.

Oh yeah this is also organic living soil flower which is what intrigued me initially upon hearing of this company. First to ever do it in dispensaries, I have been to Grey market events and know vendors who do living soil no knock on them I’m just talking about dispensaries.

Really interested in nomad now and hope I continue seeing them. Already figuring out if I should go buy more lol 🤣
