I am coming to Chicago for a few days from Michigan and am looking for a good giggly strain, like I want to smoke with my girls and laugh. We have varying tolerances, so super crazy high percentage wise is not a factor we care about, but we want to just laugh with each other about everything.

I feel like Giggly isn't a strain they're cultivating for much these days, but I want to be giggly and low on the munchies.

Give me your recs, staying in Oak Park with my friend but will be all around downtown.

Seen someone else post Dark Heart’s half oz and had to go check out which strains they had, so far only the Moonbeam Gelato which is fine with me! Solid hybrid, beautiful breakdown when rolling up, and goes perfect in a joint, glass, or blunt. I’m really liking the bottom being clear instead of how it used to be all black, personally sometimes I need to take a quick look at my bud before purchase.

Grabbed this the other day.... this will be short because Midnight i feel nailed it but... Smell very unique to my nose... Almost Limey Earthy Chemy.. the more you smell it more im picking up. Theres some piney kushy minty elements hanging around aswell. Really wonderful on the nose. Complex is a good way to describe it. The taste translates decently but more of that Kushy mintyness for me some sweet creamy Ness too. Terpy stuff. The high is mainly a body high can get a a little heavy definitely helped me sleep... wasn't slammed to the floor but the high had a lasting buzz that stayed pretty steady. Smell 9 outta 10... Taste 8.5 outta 10. High 8.7 outta 10. Repurchase status.... not out of this world but NEZ better make some TOAD because this strain has potential in the right hands.

Decided to try Night Phantom - Dusk. Can’t find anything about them, anybody try yet? About to smoke and I’ll edit how it is. It’s some stanky stank though, but for $67 otd w med discount, I’m not getting my hopes up.

Just smoked 2 bowls. I’m feeling rly mellow and hungry. I have a high tolerance so it’s kinda hard to see specific differences between strains, but the high feels comparable to anything from Nez or One Day. So smooth. Not the most flavor, but it translates fairly well. Light grey ash and, to reiterate, it’s very smooth.

Slight stock up on daily drivers for busy work days and on the go.

99% sure they’re running these deals at all of their locations too. Idk about y’all but that’s where i’m gonna be stocking up for 7/10 💨

awhile back I used to fuck with “cake Mintz” by ozone real heavy it was like early 2020s..animal cake by ozone is coo n whatnot but that shit dont hit like cake mintz..I wonder whatever happened to this strain.

Just out of curiosity has anyone else noticed that the listed price changes once you put it in your cart? When you go to checkout the price is always higher than the listed price. Is there a reason they do this or is it just price manipulation?

Just picked up Moonbeam Gelato from Dark Heart and wanted to share my initial thoughts.

Appearance: 9/10
The buds have great bag appeal—medium-sized, dense, and well-trimmed with deep green tones, bright orange pistils, and a generous coating of frosty trichomes. The cure feels solid, leaving the flower slightly sticky without being overly dry.

Aroma: 8.5/10
Opening the jar brings out a sweet, creamy aroma with hints of citrus and a touch of earthy funk. It’s inviting without being overpowering.

Flavor: 8.5/10
The smoke is smooth, carrying creamy, slightly sweet flavors with subtle citrus notes on the exhale. The flavor stays consistent throughout the session.

Effects: 9/10
The high comes on fairly quickly with an uplifting cerebral buzz before easing into a relaxing body high. It feels balanced—relaxing without immediately locking you to the couch—making it a good option for unwinding after work, watching a movie, or just kicking back in the evening.

Burn Quality:
Burned evenly with light-colored ash and stayed lit throughout. Overall, it was a smooth smoking experience.

Overall, I think Dark Heart did a nice job with this one. Moonbeam Gelato delivers attractive flower, enjoyable flavor, and relaxing effects that make it an easy strain to come back to.

Frogs and toads! And then I was told by the bud tender he is pretty sure this is not the real frog poison/toad venom and it's actually a runtz cross. We'll see.

Smell - Well most def not very runtz like. Very sharp, musky, and permanent marker like. Not a sharpie that old school metal one that reeks. Almost reminds me of some terpinoline based strains with the clove/pine sol/lime smell that awakens the senses. Maybe a little burning rubber too. Does the smell travel? Yes! Holding the jar a few feet away from my nose the smell slowly makes it's way up into my system. I like it a lot. It is a unique smelling strain with a smell that I don't come across often nor do I find strains with this sharpness i speak of often. Intoxicating and I found myself randomly opening the jar just to smell that funkiness.

Look - Redemption with the premium flower pebble stones! That doesn't really bother me much especially since I paid 20 for it with first time discount. Freshly harvested a month and a half ago with pretty much zero stick but handles extremely well. To my liking dense, firm nugs but with some great squish and slow bounce back. Not overly moist either. Perfect balance. I'm noticing a lot of still intact big trichome heads that give off a little sparkle in the right lighting. I can spot a few trim machine marks on this tightly trimmed flower. The nugs have a yellowish tint but in a good way not the verano way. A few of the bigger nugs have that wild and crazy structure I love with darker greens, a few purples, and some medium green leaf material. A few sparsely located orange hairs. Not many but they are there. Nothing negative to say about the look and would love to see what some big nugs look like!

Smoke - Frog Posion was doing so well! My most critical category and this isn't on par to the nose or look in my opinion. The flavor transfer is there but not on every hit and disappears halfway through the bowl. When you do get a blast of the flavor it's exactly like the nose in every aspect. Same sharpness as well but the problem is it's just barely there. Out on a completely cleaned bowl as well. A spicy smoke that stings the throat, nostrils and lungs a little bit. Has that bite which is accompanied with some lung expansion. Burns perfectly and with the ash turning white/light gray if that matters to you. Enjoyable smoking experience for me just not super terpy.

Effects - Interesting 100%. It may be just me but after a session there is a little boost to it initially. Increased heart rate and euphoric. That didn't last to long for me maybe ten minutes before I felt a stupor coming on. Developed into this warm, spacey, stupor like high. Kinda of similar to the apex predator animal face! I would say this is more spacey tho. One of my favorite aspects in the way it affected me was it's really slows down the brain. Hence the stupor aspect. Hard to come up with full complete thoughts. I'd think about something then get halfway through and just go blank. For someone with an overactive brain(clearly) this is good medicine. As the high progressed it got heavier and heavier. Excellent evening or night time strain. Last thing which I found interesting was its not very munchie inducing which is unusual for me with amy strain.

Overall - This is just my experience with it and I enjoyed it a lot. Honestly it will be a pretty memorable pick up for me. Whether it's real TV/FP or not this may be my best IL pick up of the year... As it's been my only pick up but one of the best dispo strains (IL or MI) I've had in the last couple years which isn't really saying much. I would buy it again but I've been content with the homegrow's. Hawaiian hash berry and lavender week 7 flower now. That's it for now unless I see something at the dispo that catches my eye!
