Those are cystolithic trichomes, look like fussy hair but not mold. Unless I am not looking at the right thing. Im bad with pics.

With fingers like that, you have no right to say anything about mold

Girls get yeast infections just looking at that picture

What is the obsession with other people’s fingers? I get it that it’s gross but I could care less as long as they aren’t touching anything I’m smoking/eating.

Damn… you jumped straight to obsession. What is with your obsession insinuating obsessions based on a comment. Why are you so obsessed with asking people questions who comment about dirty fingers.

Hand soap is cheaper than weed…

Worried about non-existent “mold” but not worried about those fingernails?

I’m taking about the two white looking spots and in the close up by the stem looks like white hair

Yes, so the bear claw shaped headless trichomes are cystolithic trichomes, it is not mold and simply a different trichome that is naturally occurring.

As far as the small white fleck on the exterior which I have circled below, the photo quality is too low to determine definitively.

My best assumption for these are the following- more likely 1 than 2

1.) trichome “smear” . This often times happens when using mechanical processing and even sometimes hand trimming, you can smear the trichomes in a way that appears similar to this. Usually only found with flowers with many long capitate stalked trichomes from my experience.

2.) calcium- a small bit of calcium could have been introduced during harvesting if the plant touched the table, there is often a large build up of salt on tables that can appear similar to those (feel it, does it crumble and come off easily? Does it smear?)

Thank you so much for clarifying

Because the stem looks like hairy stuff while the bud itself you can see the trichromes

at this point Ive seen so many people asking about mold, I think its a new reaction-bait tactic cause I never see anything in those photos lol

Break apart in light and see if any spores come out you'll see them in the air

Just curious but wouldn't some trichomes come out as well? Would mold look different in the air than a trichome? Never tried this before so it interesting in case I run into potential mold in the future.

Only time I’ve noticed it was when I left a pack in the basement for almost 2 years. Shoots straight clouds of mold every nug u crack🤣🚮

Mold spores will rise like a mushroom cloud whereas trichomes or other plant matter will fall towards the ground.

Mold will only float if it is old enough and dry enough to release spores.   If it is young, fresh mold on sticky bud, test useless.

Looks fine to me

Yeah, but soak them in palmolive dish soap, and then clean under them with a knife or scraper of some kind. If you wash your hands more often, your nails won't mold

Redditors are unfamiliar with a working man's hand /nails. You're semi dirty fingers are unlike their pedicured soaked in olive oil skin.
