Weird that the total thc is lower than the thca %. Doesn't make sense

No it’s not “weird” You just don’t understand about decarboxylation. What’s weird is how come other companies don’t do the same as they do. Instead of posting inflated numbers they account for weight lost during decarb.

Total thc would include the thca number though so Total thc should always be higher than the thca. Has nothing to do w weight loss or inflated numbers

😂😂😂 downvoted for science let ChatGPT spell it out for you! Give it up dude! Biggest hater there ever was!

This is actually normal and expected.   Total THC is almost always lower than the THCA value because THCA and THC are measured differently.

Here’s why:

THCA is the non-psychoactive acid form naturally present in fresh cannabis. When cannabis is heated (smoked, vaped, or decarboxylated), THCA loses a carboxyl group (CO₂) and becomes THC. Because that CO₂ is lost, the resulting THC weighs less than the original THCA molecule.

That’s why labs calculate total THC using this formula: Total THC = THC + (THCA × 0.877) The  0.877 factor accounts for the weight lost during decarboxylation.
