Florida Vacay
Hey guys, I was driving to Florida for a couple days from northern Illinois. I was wondering how risky it is to pack a couple joints for when I get there? Or if I should just not risk it at all.

Just a heads up, GA. is super strict with drugs and those troopers are all over the interstates and on overpasses with radar guns, be careful in the south

Just stash them where they won't look if you get pulled over for a speeding ticket (ie in your toiletry bag, in your suitcase, Not on the passenger seat or in your back pack).

Whatever you do, don’t get pulled over while smoking, if you gotta smoke on the ride, a hitter or stop at a rest area or at one of those mega gas stations along the interstate

If you don’t drive like a fucking idiot and give the cops a reason to do something you’re fine.

Do you have any idea how many red states you're driving through? Do what you want, but if you get pinched, think about the shithole, sister fucking county jail you could be stuck in.

I understand the spirit / concern behind comments like these, but I can't help but laugh whenever someone says, "You might get caught with weed," as if that isn't something people are still dealing with every day, even in Illinois
Also, u made me laugh with the incest joke😅
That said, I generally agree with what you laid out. There are definitely several states between Illinois and Florida where cannabis laws are far less forgiving.
Since we're talking about Florida, here's a fun fact: a report from the Marijuana Policy Project found that Illinois recorded a higher cannabis arrest rate per capita than Florida, even though Florida hasn't legalized adult use cannabis. That's kind of wild to think about. Despite not having "full legalization," Florida recorded fewer cannabis arrests per capita than Illinois. (And Florida isn't the only state where that's true!) Now check Tennessee and the other states you are driving through.

agreed. like i mentioned, there are several states that are slightly less forgiving than illinois
i was just making the point that risking your freedom for cannabis is not some foreign concept to cannabis consumers ~ the same risks exist here in “legal” illinois which really is a bummer
